silver & black
Do any of you have experience with the Cane Corso breed? The evening I had to put my boy down, my Vet brought out a dog that he said needs a home. He said the dog needs an owner that can handle a large dog. Well... I can. The problem is that I'm not home for 8+ hours a day. I was left with the two dogs I have/had in my divorce. They were/are house broke and can handle the long time between me being home and gone. The new dog/puppy (one year old) is giving me thoughts about weather or not I can do this. Thoughts??? sirchunksalot
Chip Strokes
@silver & black cane corsos are serious working dogs. they need to be worked and exercised hard in order to keep them from destructive behavior. they can also be a little temperamental with other dogs. i think if you can do it on a trial basis at first, you’ll find out quickly if it will work or not. they’re gorgeous, incredibly loyal dogs though. hope it works out for you and for the pup. silver & black, MaxEntropy, GolfSpy_SHARK and 2 others 5 Quote SIM2 8º | KuroKage XD 70TX SIM 3W 14º | Fujikura Atmos Black Tour Spec 9TX SIM2 5W 18º | Fujikura Ventus Black 10X U500 2i | Fujikura Ventus HB Black 10TX T100 4-PW | Dynamic Gold X7 SM6 52* SM8 56* SM8 60* | Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 DW | BGT Stability Tour

My hunting dogs like to hunt and aren't destructive when I'm not home at work. I'd you can provide the dog with time before and after work you can do okay. The new dog/puppy (one year old) is giving me thoughts about weather or not I can do this. Thoughts??? Not very much contact, but a friend had one growing up. They are cool dogs. We lost a few of our four legged friends over the years. It was always hard getting used to a new pup in the house, and they didn’t seem to work out for us. We waited a few years this time, tried a rescue that did not like me at all and settled on a lab, he is a goofy SOB. When our Dani boy started limping around back in Michigan it took the wind right out of my sails. I rescued him from a bad situation and he was a heck of a companion. It is so tough when it’s their time. The one we had to give up before that, Graham... my neighbor left a golf ball out in the yard which he swallowed and got stuck in his intestines... I was broke at the time and couldn’t afford the 7k surgery. Luckily the rescue we had to give him up to did it and he got a new home, still irked that they wouldn’t help us out and let us have our boy back. Sorry, that probably didn’t help at all. But these four legged friends get to me. I am really sorry you had to say goodbye to your buddy, and I hope you can meet a new buddy that works with you. tommc23, MattF, tony@CIC and 3 others
