The couple we played with today went through it a few weeks ago. She tested positive; had slight fever and headaches, that was all. She's 54. He never got it. They both are tested at work. She tested negative after 10 days, and played golf the next weekend, but was quite weak the first round or two back. That was the one advantage as a kid, never really broke them since my shot was lets say, about precision (aka weak). But thankfully skates where not too much yet, but I am sure they have gone up. I also remember it was about 2,000 a year just to be on the team to pay for ice time and this was just a smaller town based team. The bigger more travel based/higher level leagues can be even more. But thankfully much like golf there are levels of equipment to save a few buck as someone playing for fun now. But yeah hockey is not cheap at all. How It's Made - Pro Hockey Sticks - YouTube Yeah they have been all carbon fiber for years now and probably have much the same R&D as golf shafts, just square not round. It actually interesting to see hockey sticks being marketed a bit like golf shafts now. There is talk of kick point and how this releases, basically speaking to the torque and deflection of the stick as you take a shot, plus of course all different flexes. Some big time NHL players play a very flexible shaft for the better energy transfer, who cares if you break them when they are free. Like auto flex but for hockey sticks. Alex Ovechkin was one of them just look at the bend here. fixyurdivot and tony@CIC 2 Quote Epic Max LS 9° Ventus Blue 6X (2021 Official Review) | Epic Speed 18° Evenflow Riptide 70g 6.0 816 H1 21° Diamana S+ Blue 70 S | SMS 4-5/SMS Pro 6-PW Steelfiber i95 S (2023 Official Review) Glide 4.0 50°.12°S/54°.14°W/58°.6°T PING Z-Z115 Wedge Flex | SOFT 11S Super Stroke Mid-Slim 2.0 Hoofer Bag | Pro V1 | Right Handed | Tracked by V3

russtopherb
Not gonna lie, as much as I love hockey I was not too sad when my son decided he didn't want to progress up to the next level after playing as a 7 year old. When I was playing roller hockey even that was decently expensive when considering league fees, equipment replacement like wheels & bearings, new sticks... golf almost seems cheap by comparison (sometimes). My other team is sponsored so it helps the cost. Also have a travel tournament team we do 4-5 a year all over the country... but playing hockey helps with the golf swing! Appreciate the offer, Foz! I'm going to wait until after the holidays to do anything, depending on what shows up Christmas morning in the form of presents or gift certificates. No golf for at least 3 months for me most likely living in MA, so no rush on my end. tony@CIC, MattF, sirchunksalot and 1 other 4 Quote In my carry bag: ST-X 10.5* Kai'li Blue R Flex ST-Z 15* Kai/li Blue R Flex ST-Z 4h Linq Blue R Flex Launcher 5h Launcher CBX 6i-PW CBX 54* & 58* Huntington Beach #10 e12 Contact CURRENTLY TESTING - Mizuno Long Game
