I had that same idea a couple of years back and things didn’t quite go to plan.  I quickly resorted back to 12oz curls.  Best decision of the day!

I helped out with my nephews (8 years old) last fall. 
 

3/5 coaches for opposite team had pants cleats and jerseys on the bench. It was pathetic…and it’s real. 
 

Lots of unresolved personal conflict going on there.

Give me jorts dad, tucked in t shirt with some Nike Air Monarchs and a pair of Ray Ban aviators and he won’t have to argue, just stare a hole though that umpire with his arms crossed.

Yup, years ago when my Daughters were playing softball Elementary School age there was a coach who wore a Full uniform including cleats.  Really weird.

I know he doesn't read the forum, but I want to take a moment to thank my golf buddy Ryan for the riding mower. He bought a zero turn last weekend and instead of selling, he offered me his lawn tractor and all I had to do was replace the battery. I took it out for its maiden voyage today and it's amazing how much faster and easier it is to do than with a push mower.

Not new equipment. But had an in-person lesson with a new instructor and he had me work on how I hold the grip in my hands (in general, not specific to hybrids).

But there were a couple of holes that required something that wasn't a driver or 4 iron, so I pulled out an old 4 hybrid that I have. On 16, its a long uphill par 3, gotta fly it at least 180 or you will be severely punished. With gripping the club properly, I hit it high and soft and landed it on the back half of the green and it stayed on.

And then on 18, since I was playing from the Member's tees today, hitting driver would have been too much club so I hit the 4 hybrid again. Hit it slightly left, but not the big massive hybrid hook, and through the fairway, didn't expect it to go that far.

2 for 2 pretty good shots with a hybrid never happens for me. Usually I hit it thin, or massive hook OB, once in a while a weak fade, etc. The best shots I hit in the past were a bit too low and penetrating, but I can see now how they can fly high and land soft.

We finally got to take a quick vacation for the first time in 20 months. We like going to Carlsbad, CA, and today we found ourselves at a local municipal golf course, which happens to be hosting a fairly important golf tournament in less than 2 weeks. It was very cool to be able to see the venue without a ton of people around. Photos attached. It gave me chills being on site.

I spent quite a bit of time in Carlsbad when I was working (traveling) and always enjoyed it.  Nice to see folks getting out and enjoying time with family, friends, and seeing our great country.  I just noticed you hail from Laramie, WY... howdy neighbor .

We really like the San Diego area. I'd never live there, but it's great to spend a few days at a time. We can just relax and not have to be anywhere. The kids and I are going to play Goat Hill Tuesday and are going to look for another place before we head back. 

I hate to admit this but still haven't made my way to Montana. One of these days. I need to come up there and fish, but running a business and life seem to get in the way. I hear it's beautiful there.

Now all we need is a coach rocking up in full catcher's gear.  Old school mask so he can throw it off to get into an umpire's face more quickly.

I just did some poison ivy/poison oak clearing for my in laws this weekend in return getting there crafstman ride on (cup holder included)....You know you're an old man when you're super stoked about getting one! I am doing the lawn 3x a week now with drink in hand!
