Shankster
Have a predicament I need some help with… This “new swing” I am finding the home button on the reg… however, I’m seeing a drop off in distance that I have thoroughly enjoyed… The accuracy with the “new swing” is top shelf. The Bryson swing accuracy was all over the map as of recent.. Scoring, so far looks like it will benefit from the added accuracy, but I’ll have a longer club into the green sometimes… we are still talking a short iron. Do I BASH the ball or finesse it? Bash: 285+ Finesse: 265-285+… Tell me what to do… wife says duh, accuracy… I say Bash bros. Wht say you? How wide was the pattern with bash and now with finesse? The quick answer is that from a strategy perspective you should always want distance over accuracy. Shankster
14 minutes ago, EasyPutter said: 3-4 mph difference could be the length of the shaft as the speed of an object as the radius distance increases from the center point of the arc. In other words, with the same swing speed of the hands on the grip, a longer shaft of hybrid, woods and driver will have the clubhead traveling faster than the shorter shaft of the irons (and as the irons get shorter the clubhead speed is reduced to the shortest shaft of the wedge). That fact alone has me considering one length irons to work the shot shape with loft. Understand, but my 3 iron is 39.5” and the driver is 45”… shouldn’t I see some sort of increase? More than a few mph’s? I mean, if I’m only going to gain that little I’m getting a 40” driver. I can’t stand how far away and ugly drivers look to begin with.
