I've been to the Nutcracker at the Kennedy Center in DC and a showing of it at the Kremlin in Moscow.  The Kennedy Center was much better.  However, I also got to see the Nutcracker in Moscow at the Bolshoi theater and at the Mariinsky theater in Saint Petersburg, Russia.  The best by far was at the Mariinsky theater... fabulous!!

Is that finished classes or actual graduation date?    
 

and congrats on the accomplishment; going back to school and working at the same time is a difficult thing to do.

Classes done.  I’m not sure when the actual “graduation date” is, I think it’s in January. But I only get a month off then it’s on to Graduate school.

Seems like it was only yesterday that you started. Congrats - it's a big accomplishment, especially when you have to deal with work and take care of your family at the same time!

When we lived in Connecticut my wife and I took our son the see the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Show. We loved it. Just thinking about that was over 20 years ago. Where does the time go?

I've been through your area on the way to get some coal from Blaschak in Mahanoy City a few years ago.  Coming from our direction, it seemed further west than it actually is looking at a map.  I was thinking it would be a longer trip to get from there to Allentown but I guess 78 makes it a quick trip.

I grew up just 45 north of Allentown. I’m only a few miles south of Mahanoy City it would be right about 45 minutes to Allentown from my house now.

Took my boy to Chiefs-Broncos last night.  I’m a lifelong Bronco fan, he’s become a Chiefs fan owing largely to living where we do.  I’ve got to get the hell out of here…

Since my mother-in-law has moved in with us, we've moved to the upstairs bedroom. Normally, I'm not up there that much and don't notice much about it. Walking out of the room at 4 this morning I randomly noticed that the small hallway (4x8ish) has five doors. Two for bedrooms, one bathroom, a linen closet, and one that holds our heating unit. If you count the closets in the bedrooms, there are 7 doors upstairs, there's only 5 downstairs. 

I have decided to call the upstairs Mordor.

Glad to hear that your MIL is out of the hospital.  Hope she is feeling better being around family; best kind of medicine!!

I appreciate it! She's doing good and is getting around better than I expected. She still needs a wheelchair when going out and uses a wallet in the house, but I expected her to be reliant on the wheelchair. Her mood has been positive and were enjoying having her around. She's what I like to call good people and it just breaks my heart to see all she's been through with her health over the 14 years I've known her.

My wife and I tried a new Chinese restaurant for lunch today. Well, actually it's not new but under new management.  We'd eaten there in years past but it was just OK, nothing great.  But they have really updated the décor and the food was great... best hot & sour soup I've had since leaving WA.  So, the search for a REALLY good Mexican food here in Yuma continues (I know, surprising...right?), but at least we have a Chinese food option.

There are some really good Mexican restaurants not too far away in the Oxford through Kennett Square section of Rt 1.  There is a large population that work in the area mushroom farms and other ag industries and some family owned restaurants sprung up and have thrived.

FL has a few Mexican/Spanish Residents.  There are more than a couple REALLY GOOD Mexican Restaurants close by.  Can’t leave the Cuban restaurants out of the conversation either. 
SWMBO loves them also but occasionally she can get a bit of indigestion

Ordered a Christmas present for my mother that I’m sure will bring her to tears when she gets it. Found a place that does custom Pandora charms and I got one with my sister’s name, birthdate, and the date of her death on it. I’m hoping that it turns out as nice as the generic pictures looked

Spoke with my son tonight. He and his girlfriend are coming home for Christmas. We discussed our meals for Christmas Eve and Christmas. Sushi on Christmas Eve and prime rib, garlic mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts and roasted carrots, oh and salad with crab meat on Christmas. And will continue our tradition of a shot of tequila on Christmas morning.
