I just took a nostalgic trip down memory lane. It's our 10th anniversary weekend and the wife and I, being nerds, watched Ghostbusters: Afterlife. So good. The original was my favorite movie growing up and the only movie I've seen 35 times. I was geeking out so bad. The music, the references, and the Easter eggs were well done in a movie that could stand on its own.

Happy Anniversary!!

The breakfast turned out wonderfully, we made sausage, hash browns, bacon, biscuits and gravy. We made the gravy in the instant pot using the grease from the meat and it was the fastest I've ever got it done.

We made enough that we're going to have the leftovers tonight, I'm just going to have to pick up more bacon.

My rowing machine comes in the mail today which is good because it’s super cold outside and I could use a good workout to warm up. This is the start of me trying to lose weight again.

Which one did you get and can you give me a review please?

Happy Anniversary!

I got one that is under $300 so far so good two days here two workouts in. Pretty smooth rowing and it folds up which is why I got it. The foot strap on the one side rubbed my foot through my shoe wrong so that was uncomfortable but I will adjust and keep things going. I’ll let you know how it holds up as time goes on plan is to do 500 meters a day or more.

I’m not going to make a huge deal out of this and random thread seems like an opportune spot…

Nearly 5 years and 3,999 posts ago, I discovered a golf forum that would lure me in, reignite a passion for a game I always adored and yes, has also caused me to empty my pockets slightly…😊

Despite some struggles emotionally and mentally in my personal life, I’ve been happy to have a place where I can come, share like-minded stories and learn from many of you.  You folks gave me a reason to rediscover the game I love

So as I hit submit and hit 4,000, it’s my sincere thank you to each of you. Thanks for keeping me engaged and distracted from life’s struggles 😊

Love these milestones. Congrats on 4k! That is a lot and been great to have you here on the site.

Glad you enjoy it hear and we all appreciate your contributions. Cheers to the next 4k!

For you Veterans that do DIY at home.

Home Depot just made a big splash with their Veterans discount - generally 10% except sale items. Guess they decided they were losing too much to Lowes veteran's discount. HD had one before but not very well communicated.

This is a big plus for me as I live about 5 min from a Home Depot and about 25 minutes via a white knuckle drive on Rt. 75. to Lowes.

The process is a bit different at checkout at HD since you have to use a QR code (HD app) on your phone. On the other hand you can self checkout and just scan the code in.

lways appreciated is the checkout clerk's thank you for service (should be thank you for sacrifice but not going to be rude when someone is being kind).

Given the way we were treated coming back from Vietnam, even a half hearted thank you is a big improvement. I'm not bashful, I'll ask everyone for a veterans discount and get it most of the time.

Here I am sitting in the SLC airport on our flight to Palm Springs.  First time flying since pre-pan-damn-ic, and 3 years since I flew through SLC.  What to my surprise?!  Brand new airport!!  Apparently, they built this new one and then tore down the entire old one and buried it.

So far, no problems.  We had a plane and a flight crew!!
