He said that his brother had a driver and he had gotten out with it and hit some balls, videoed his swing, and is interested in going to the range. Since he only had that club, he was discussing buying irons and trying them out. I came to work the next morning with one of my spare sets and brought them out for him and told him to use these so he could see if he thought he might enjoy playing without spending the money on irons. Fast forward to the next morning. We were walking in and he told me that his wife asked him why he was carrying them into the house and he explained the situation to her. She said "basically, Jason brought you a bouquet of golf clubs". Some here may know that I am also in a car club which supports Leader Dogs for the Blind, which is based here in southeast Michigan. Today our club put on a "Cars & Coffee" event at the Leader Dogs facility, where all the donuts, water, coffee, etc. we donated, and those who attended made a donation for the items of their choice. We also had a 50/50 drawing, and then had a club member volunteer to allow people to sit in his C8 Corvette for a photo opportunity again with a $5.00 donation made to Leader Dogs for that. The event ran from 9:00AM -12:00PM (noon) and we raised a total of $2143.00 total to benefit this great organization. They put me on a schedule of 2x a week for 4 weeks. I’m doing everything that I’ve been told (SWMBO didn’t buy that) to do at home so I’m ahead of schedule. According to Orthopedic Doc & Rehab they have me back on the course B4 end of July!! I don’t think I’ll be agreeing to be paired up with any randoms in the future. I am a sailor, and have a spectacular vocabulary… but these guys made me blush. Had some time to digest it, and it was almost bad enough for me to take a break from the game. These are the type of guys you see jumping carts into sand traps. It was terrible. They made us share carts and the guy I was with smoked, and I seemed to always be downwind when he lit up. I ended up walking a bunch to keep my space. I don’t want to be any part of a party on the course. I feel bad for these guys significant others….
