I see that all the time in FL but this woman, if I read this correctly will demand to drive your cart if she’s in it with you I’m thinking that different.

When SWMBO is in the cart with me and we’re playing she takes the cart and I walk mostly, she loves driving the cart!

Here's the world famous MGS Forum contributor writing this wearing his 2023 PGA Championship volunteer hat 250 miles away from Oak Hill CC on the final day of the tournament as Marathon runner support Dad for his son obnoxiously ringing his cowbell for every runner going past at the halfway point just after the half and full marathons split.  Yes some runners commented on the hat and yes those clapping ended up doing so at the same speed of the infernal clanging. Also no SWMBO did not make me stop and just walked further away where she caught yours truly in action.

This past Friday-Saturday (May 19-20) our course was full of flamingos and an overload of pink! I want to toot our horn a little.

My LGA hosted our 9th annual Flamingo Ladies Invitational. It was our most successful yet with 80 players (40 teams) from 17 cities and raised more money than ever. (Note - in earlier years we had a cart decorating contests - that's where my profile photo was snapped)

Getting us together is kind of like herding cats and we sound like an entire town of cackling hens, but we manage to hold still for a tournament group photo every year. Lots of pink and we seem to prefer white caps.

We have a blast, laugh, eat, laugh, play golf, laugh, raise $ for our causes, laugh, sip Bloody Mary's for breakfast and laugh some more.

This year the Crossroads Guardians of Hope brought out their pink firetruck. This organization supports cancer patients. The firetruck is covered with signatures and messages for and from cancer patients. We had the opportunity to add to the writings. This photo is my Flamingo Planning committee (plus a couple of extras) with the firetruck named Debbie.

And me in the driver's seat.

From the tournament profits, each year we donate to our 3 local high school girls golf teams. Those teams and their coaches volunteer during our tournament. They meet players at their vehicles, pickup their bags and make sure they are strapped onto the correct golf carts ready to play. This is a photo of those awesome students and two of the coaches this year.

This last photo of me and my playing partner in our cart before tee off. Thanks fellow spies for putting up with my long post!

It started on #5 and continued through to #13 where the marshmallows seemed to be replaced by geese. Geese everywhere, eating the marshmallows I assume. Still marshmallows all the way through to #18 but they were getting much more sparse by that time. 

Same at my course yesterday. I believe it's just someone being a dick because they look like a ball from a distance.

Made it up and back to NY this week for my son’s junior prom. 16 hours in the car was a lot but worth it. Hoping I have some news in the next week or so that will allow me to be home more than once a month.

As many of you know, the golf instructor for @cksurfdude and myself is Monte Scheinblum.  He has qualified for this year’s US Senior Open Championship at SentryWorld in Stevens Point, WI June 27-July 2, 2023.  Hope he does better than a missed cut he had in 2019.  This 1992 World Long Drive Champion can play!!  It was a treat watching him during our 18-hole on-course playing lessons!  Best of luck Monte!  Maybe he can have a Block Party too.

They are coming to my town in July. Looked at the tickets $300+/each. Would love to watch them but that's out of my price range.

As someone from Sav, it's hard to believe how huge they've gotten. Started as college ball players summer league with cheap food and drinks, to borderline impossible to get tickets. Still have the free food though, at least at the games here. 

The first year or two i'd go to 5-6 games a summer with my buddies, but haven't been this year yet now that they've gone full Harlem Globetrotters. Need to see what it's like now when they get back in town.

Because of all of you (MGS Community) absolutely killing it and creating so much activity and work I finally broke down and got a second screen which is much needed and will hopefully help me keep a little more organized.

I cannot imagine working without one. I actually picked up a 34" widescreen on amazon over the holidays and it's amazing.

When you're working with multiple apps it's the only way to be able to jump between them easily. This is my at home basement office space (and it's only warm enough to not need extra layers for maybe 3 months a year. (All screen content chosen for the photo)

Mine accumulated over time but work supplied a 24" that's perfect for working at home in combination with my 20" and laptop screens. Red Rooster box on the work laptop and screens center and left are 3 screens for my finance office job.

It was essential when I was working too; 17” laptop and 23” monitor.  Couldn’t imagine using only one screen!!
