My daily driver is an 02 911. It's now sitting in an indie shop because it was running rough and smoking on start up. The tech thinks he's got it narrowed down to a bad injector and the mass airflow sensor. Since he's got the fuel rail off he recommended replacing the other 2 injectors on that side since they're only $70./piece. So far I'm into it for about $1800. Guess I won't be updating my irons this year

Ouch!  I've been eyeing some of the 2016 Used Audi's (S8, A8, S6 or the Q7).  I'm just not sure with the higher costs associated with German car maintenance  Current daily driver is a Mercedes C320 4matic and stuff on it just keeps breaking to the point I'm ready to get rid of it.  Previously, I drove a Lexus and it was bullet proof...except when a car pulls out in front of you ☹️.  A Porsche 911 is my dream car.  New though even the base car is right almost 90k🤦‍♂️

... Reminds me of a commercial back in the late 60's showing a mansion on the right and a modest house on the left. A guy pulls a Porsche  into the driveway on the left and the announcer says "The guy that lives in the house on the left drives an expensive German sports car... " and then a guy pulls a VW Beetle into the mansion driveway and the announcer finishes with " ... and they guy that lives in the house on the right, fixes them". 🤣  I bought a used VW Bug for $350.

Got bad news yesterday. My Orthopedic Surgeon who I wanted for my knee replacement is retiring this month.
I guess after my shoulders he was sick of me.
I put off my knee replacement due to a planned trip to CT for Gkids HS graduation and all the Spring Sports for all 4 Gkids. Obviously none of this happened due to the COVID mess.
Start over....

Random here we go.
I've been staying away until golf gets kinds back to normal for us.
One of those it's me not you deals lol.
I've played 5 rounds this year. 3 of those in last 3 weeks. I know probably selfish and childish not to participate until I could actually play, but Tazz is back

This is the first major repair on the 911 - it's a 2002. Up to this point it's only needed tires and oil changes.

FYI my wife drives a 2015 MB 350 suv. Other than tires, oil changes and rear brakes it hasn't needed anything and it has 90,000 miles.

My Orthopedic surgeon retire AFTER he did mine and my wife's replacements.  I think he paid off his boat... or 911.

Preaching to the choir.
This is the truth. I changed the usual weekly Monday morning meeting to Tuesday mornings. No one, including me were ready for the Monday Smackdown. The Shop Team Leaders loved it, office Weenies hated it.
Of course the Monday Night Football guys had a slight hangover problem.

That's the reason I've never leased an Audi through work, even though I've always wanted to. Working for VW has it's perks, but with service every 6000 miles an Audi can get pricy for my tastes. With them, the first service is free then the second is $600. They sure are pretty, though.

I had an Infiniti G37 before my new car and the ONLY reason I got it was because of the 10 year 100k warranty. Had a few issues over the years that were 100% covered thank God. Got rid of it right after warranty was up this year. Cars are tough these days especially when ya can’t just lift it in the driveway for a quick fix all the electronics

Sounds like it had a Lucas electrical system - more common in British cars. Little know fact Joseph Lucas the namesake of Lucas Electrical was credited for inventing the 'short circuit' 😂

I had an Infiniti G37 before my new car and the ONLY reason I got it was because of the 10 year 100k warranty.

My current car is a '16 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. I bought it used in 2017 and 60k of the 100k powertrain warranty was transferable, so I have that going for me. So far it has been bullet-proof. <knocking on wood>
