I was randomly pondering golf grip sizes and came across a chart that considers hand length (wrist crease to longest finger) and middle finger length. The chart showed adding wraps if finger length is above certain length ranges. Overall, my hands are smaller than average 7" but in the range for standard. But based on middle finger length (3.25"), the chart said I should potentially add a couple of wraps to a standard size grip.

My conclusion, I think my hands have weird proportions, palm length is small relative to finger length.

I put up a critter fence to hopefully keep them out. Hopefully...

I feel like for me it's fully about comfort.  I have pretty small hands size. I played baseball in college so I am used to having a baseball bat in my hands so standard grips just don't do it for me.  I use midsize grips with 2 wraps under those.  With standard grips I always felt like I was choking the club.

I'm really proud of my daughter as any father would be and yesterday was the day that her junior high was to announce the Cheerleaders for the coming school year ( if there is anything to cheer for). Since schools are currently online only in Texas she had to try out with a video of her cheering to a script and send that to the squad leader. My daughter had only tried out for one other thing before and that is the tennis team last year that she did make but, has been privately coach for at 6 months prior to try outs, but they only got two matches before the covid 19 shut everything down. Seeing how she hadn't been a cheerleader since second grade my wife and I were very nervous about the result ( only 8 girls out of 30 make the squad and she would have to beat someone from last years team. The announcement was to take place been 6 and 8 o'clock yesterday. About 6:30 we heard a police siren out in front of our house and we all ran outside to see a police car escorting the squad leader to the new cheerleaders homes to break the news and Gabbi made the team !

I thought that was a pretty cool way to reward those girls that made the team, but today I have to feel a little sad for those kids and parents that didn't make the team.

I'm really proud of my daughter!

Congratulations to your daughter!! A lot of hard worked paid off
I like the way the Teachers, Coaches etc are delivering the happy news to the kids that are in Lockdown definitely cheers them up.

That is awesome of the squad for doing that and happy to hear your daughter made it. With the kids losing out on the end of their school year, I really appreciate them taking the initiative to announce making the squad in a way they'll never forget.

Working on the shrubs this AM and this baby bird (hawk?) was chirping at me for getting in its way. Big wingspan when it took off for a little fella.

Only reason I know that is because I just watched a show with one in it. Seem like really cool birds.

Some of our Osprey friends are back fishing out front.

It’s weird, the winter we have 2-3 Bald Eagles that stick nearby but when the Ospreys show up they hit the road.

Oh ya definitely Hawk. I was just surprised to see a young Hawk that close to an active Osprey nest.
Back in New England you couldn’t swing a 9iron without hitting a Hawk.!

That's the worst. Happened to me my sophomore year. She would actually "pre-grade" our papers so she could give suggestions on how to improve them. I followed her advice perfectly on one and the score went down. Her reasoning? It didn't flow like she thought it would. I had to go to the dean to get that fixed.

Never realized how annoying personal watercraft are. Nothing like a half dozen of them flying by your house at 50+ mph all dang day.

Even more annoying when you're a boater and they circle around you like mosquitos at dusk. PWC's only require cash, check or credit card to be able to drive 60 mph with little or no regard for 'rules of the road'.

I hear you. I almost took a break. But if i did that it would be a permanent one. I’ll be done this time next year.

Luckily almost all of my remaining classes share the major focus stuff...

Been putting off a math class, my most dreaded subject for too long, fall semester will have some math...

But once that is over I’m on the home stretch... but the Masters Degree starts Ricky Tick after the BS is over.

My snap hook is frequently lost somewhere amongst those trees.

edit: read that quoted text wrong. I never have an issue with the tree on the right side, i always end up in the left trees.

I like the look of that hole. Aim at that single tree on the slope on the left. Hammer a nice fade up there.
