Been having pain in my fingers for a couple of months. When I wake up, fingers are stiff and painful. As I go through the day the get better. Some discomfort when swinging especially left handed superspeed training. Been taking it easier the past few
Weeks but no real improvement. Don’t want to stop golfing but may need to take an extended break. Hate to do that since we are starting to enter peak season and I am only half way through old league. I am sure the doctor would just tell me to stop playing for a while. Hate getting older!

Actually, I have found that Hank Haney's Voodoo Pain relief cream works pretty well.  I've tried many products, and this one seems to be better than any of them.  It comes in a blue tube and a red tube; red tube has menthol, blue tube doesn't.  I prefer blue tube.

It's not a permanent fix, but it has lasted a round of golf on my shoulder and lower back.

i will try aleve,  tried ibuprofen and naproxen for a while and neither really helped.

Naproxen and Aleve are the same thing.  I'm on a daily intake of Celebrex for my arthritis, but that's prescription.  Good luck with it.

There's anecdotal evidence that Glucosamine Chondroitin helps with osteoarthritis (some believe it's just  a placebo), which is what I have in my fingers. Whilst it doesn't stop it from happening, or help with the pain while it's developing, I feel it's helping cut down on the pain of it on an everyday basis. My doctor recommended it to me about 2 years ago and I've been taking 2 tablets a day ever since.

Bar Harbor with my wife and daughter for the week has been fantastic. I packed my clubs to play Kebo Valley but decided against it. There will be more golf, she’s growing too quickly for my liking.

Nice! I'm leaving Monday and will end up being able to see Mt. Desert from the porch on the island (when it's clear.)

It's a generations old family property on North Haven that we've worked really hard to hold onto and maintain. Here's the view from the porch. No electricity, no running water but a little slice of heaven. When I moved to Florida, I went back into the classroom so I would have 6 weeks every summer to spend there.

Glucosamine works on my dogs so I'm sure it would work for humans

Traveling is always an adventure. Sat next to some drunk woman from Hawaii to LA. Then on the LA to Newark flight, some guy holds up people getting on the plane trying to negotiate a seat swap on a red eye. I’m hoping the flight to Nassau will be uneventful!

One of the gentleman that I was playing with last Saturday was rocking Hogan Medallions, an Equalizer (old) wedge, persimmon woods and this weird looking Cleveland 290 driver. He said he only ever used 4 or 5 clubs in the bag and he wasn't long at all but absolutely dead straight.

My 13yo has been sitting at the piano for an hour just alternating between the intro to "Don't Stop Believing" and "Never Gonna Give You Up". For an hour. Nonstop. Also, he's a drummer, not a piano player.
Send help.
And earplugs.

Swell.....[emoji16]

Work has been busy on my nights I wish I could say I'm going to enjoy my 4 off but I got mandated to work a 14 hr night on one of my days off. The new class of 12 cannot come out soon enough being mandated to work every week for the past month sucks big time.

Swung by DSG to grab some Srixon's for my dad for Father's Day and I wandered over to the putting area to check out the TA3 putters. Two older guys were on the green and they would loudly exclaim as soon as anyone got close that they were having a putting contest and everyone had to get off the green.

Um, what?

I didn't even bother, the place was mobbed so I just grabbed the balls and walked away. Seriously though? A "putting contest" in the middle of a busy store and yelling at people who were attempting to try out putters?

That awkward parenting moment when your son says you are old and can’t strike him out. You decide to send him a message and buzz one high and tight and drill him square in the noggin. It wasn’t a wiffle ball and it wasn’t a real baseball but somewhere in between. He was rewarded with three straight curve balls that he had no chance on. I may be old but still competitive and he has seen me pitch in games before. Should have known I throw hard and lack control most of the time.
