That sucks @Shankster. Makes my tree coming down pale in comparison.

Today has been a trying day.

First I backed into someone and caused a bunch of damage to my vehicle. I haven’t been in an accident since I started driving. So I was extremely embarrassed and shocked that I could possibly back into a parked car... emoji15.png

Then 5 seconds after I asked my boys to stop rough housing they shattered a big slider window, and one of my sons is in the ER right now getting stitches on his hip/butt... thankfully it wasn’t his face or a major artery/vein.

Definitely will be going inside at any signs of a thunderstorm from now on.

Tell your kids you love them people! A reminder today for me that although his pain caused me pain, it could have been extremely worse.

Chicks dig stitches😃...when he gets older, the story will change to "I took on two robbers trying to steal my PS4 so let them have it!". Seriously though, glad they are both ok.  As for the backing up thing, we've all done it.  I backed up my minivan into a tree (while looking at the backup camera, lol). Had to get the last inch or two of parking🤦‍♂️😅😂😃).  Now, just like my putts, I'm leaving everything short because I don't want to do it again....so if you see a minivan that's only 2/3 into a parking spot, chances are it might be me 😄😃😂😅

Trees coming down are no joke. My best friend as a kid had one come down on his house and crushed his parents bedroom while they were sleeping. No injuries, but they were trapped and had to wait for the FD to cut them out of their house!

That will settle the boys down for a day or 2 and then it’ll be back to normal. Kids are a blast, been thru my 2 now 4 teenage Gkids in the mix. They are a blast, enjoy them! The stitches will be a story for him to tell for at least 2 months.

Yup the stitches will be a 'badge of honor' and just in time for the start of school!

I was going to take it out eventually, and put a set of French doors in...

It seems your time frame has just been accelerated.

Crappy day, though. Glad your kid is ok.

This bridge when it opens in few months should open up a couple extra courses for us and opens up 30 courses for the folks south of us.

A friend of mine was playing his practice round at Centennial Golf Club for the city championship this weekend and shot his personal best of 62!!!!  He recently shot his age 64 at our club.  He's a tremendous golfer and just a really great guy to play alongside.

Edit:  Oh, he won the club championship last week (senior division) by 8 shots.

Spent yesterday at the 150th Travers in Saratoga. And today, Ernie and I had some coffee watching the horses warmup at the track.

Thanks Rick. My wife grew up here and we make it out every year for this race. I love the atmosphere here every August.

Ernie definitely loved it too!!!

Is it just me, or do a lot of used iron sets now start at 6i?

Don’t think it’s you, hybrids have made their mark on the iron setup.

I don't doubt that. It's a bugger for me though since I just don't get along with hybrids. I'd even be ok starting at 5i.

I’m with you, I still have a 5i and OK with it. Dropped 4i this year, only used to fend off snakes.
