Does anyone else enjoy watching their children watch the NORAD Santa Tracker? They are torturing themselves sitting there watching every stop. emoji23.pngemoji23.png

It was a great tradition when the kids were little, and now I really miss it.  Enjoy it now before it's time to create new traditions.

This is the first year in a very long time that we aren’t running around all over Michigan.

Nice big breakfast tomorrow, a nice roast for dinner. Then on Friday we are off to The Biltmore Estate to see it all decked out for the Holidays.

Then my favorite tradition. A huge New Years Eve Asian dinner. Not sure how or why this tradition started, but my wife and I have been having that for 14 years now.

That’s funny. We used to do an early Chinese on New Years Eve with my parents when they were alive. Was a great restaurant in Hartford that closed many years ago.

We used to do Chinese with my grandparents on Christmas Eve I think it was when I was a little guy, but my grandma loved Mongolian Beef, and chicken fried rice, and sizzling rice soup.

Maybe I just altered the day. But I make all that stuff.

Normally I would get a little irritated with mosquitoes flying by my ear.

Out hitting some pitches in the yard and was zapped by one on the back of the neck.

They don’t fly around much in the UP in December.

The little things...

We do not have any kids or Grandkids------ But I will confess for some reason I like watching it for myself---- Someone with a degree in psychology needs to explain that one----By the way do not feel sorry for us we like things the way it is---- And starting tonight "Ralphie" as we call it the movie A Christmas Story is on for 24 hours and we will watch it over and over.

If you are talking about the Biltmore Estate in Asheville NC trust me you will love it. That place is spectacular even when it is not decked out for Christmas. I was lucky in the fact I grew up relatively close ( 90 miles) from it and got to see it all different seasons of the year

Well since it is just the wife and the little dog and I we do not do "traditional" Thanksgiving or Christmas food either. This past Thanksgiving we had home made Beef Enchiladas and other stuff. Tomorrow we have fresh caught Inlet Shrimp Cocktails with home made cocktail sauce with steamed Lobster Tails and home made Cole slaw. In the past when MIL was living and came down with BIL I usually did a big Low Country boil with crab ,shrimp and Whiting fish

My 14yo had his first ever date tonight. Apparently he thought wearing a Titleist t shirt was completely acceptable attire.

Well... according to the 2019 edition of the MGS One Word Survey, the Titleist brand was at or near the top for Performance, Leader, Integrity, Quality, Trustworthy, but maybe a little arrogant.
So what's the issue??

Yep they are great dogs--- Another thing about them is when they get old they tend to go down in the back legs--- I have never owned one but have been around quite a few of them----- Of course all dogs like me no matter the size or breed and of course I like all dogs no matter the size or breed
Yeah ours was 11 this past summer and while he still thinks he's a pup and has plenty of frisky left in him and wants to run and play, the hips and the back right leg are starting to fail him.......
