used to see them often in CT.  We had one that would grab a Turkey occasionally when they roosted out back in the woods.

We have them in the wooded area near our subdivision; can hear them howling at night sometimes.

They may or may not be a part of my plan to dispose of these bunnies my wife brought home...

We have some powerlines down a dirt road at the end of our street.  Sometimes at night we can hear them howling.  Generally they don't come out this way much.  We used to have a lot of deer too, but I haven't seen any this year... I wonder if the Coyote's are growing in numbers in the woods there.

There's a ton of rabbits on our street now too.  No doubt that's dragging them out too.

The 'yotes seem to be good at keeping the feral cat population in check here.  The state forest behind our property seems to be a popular dumping ground for unwanted cats.  I've noticed in the past 30 years when I frequently hear or see the coyotes I usually see less cats hit by cars on the road leading out of the forest area.  All of our cats over the years have adopted us by wandering in from the woods and never leaving.  We get them fixed and they stay outside.  We must feed them pretty good because none have ever moved on.  It's funny that when one dies of old age usually a replacement shows up and keeps the number at a steady 3 - 4.

Just back from 10 days in Kauai.  Ah, to be able to travel again is a joy even though wearing a mask on the plane was bothersome. Plus jumping through Hawaii’s COVID hoops.  I get it though.

White legs now have a little color on them (not sunburn red) and was able to play a round at Kiahuna Golf Club.  Helicopter rides and boat trips up the Napali coast made for a wonderful trip.  We really enjoyed Kauai.

The credit card is white hot but it will cool down soon.  With my wife’s health we have to make hay while the sun is shining. May not be able to do this in the not-to-distance future.

It sounds like you guys had a wonderful trip and made many wonderful memories. I just had to Google that course, and it looks stunning! I'm happy to hear y'all had a good time.

I realize not everyone can make trips like this and until a couple of years ago I wasn’t able to afford it myself.  Age does bring some benefits along with the normal aches and pains 😏

Sounds like you had a great time!!  It's been many years since I have been to Kauai; back in the 70's, before I played golf.  I remember it being quiet and laid back compared to the other islands.  I particularly enjoyed the boat ride up the Wailua River to the falls.

We went to the big island 3 years ago, liked Kauai much better.  It’s still pretty quiet, at from my viewpoint. I’m sure the locals would disagree.

We took a kayak up the Wailua to go see the falls.  Doubt we do that again!  The wind was against us coming and going. 😓

Figured out why my dogs have been so crazy sniffing lately in the morning. saw this coyote walking up the road this AM. Then again circling my neighbor’s chicken coop.

Apparently it got 4 chickens already this week.

That would lead to A. My dogs chasing and trying to fight the coyote or B. a 22 to the dome because I know my dogs would try to take it out and I couldn’t have that.

Tommy, Can’t have your Pups near the Coyotes.  You’d have to eliminate it B4 that could happen.

I've gone from being a turf destroyer, hitting shots so fat that the club almost gets stuck in the ground to barely scraping the turf. Use to use a whole bottle of sand on the front 9. Now my sand bottle is still full through 18.

Is it just dumb luck or is there something to me hitting better shots with Pro V1s? I don't buy Pro V1s, but pick up one occasionally when I find one out on the course. Probably dumb luck.

So this family of geese really loves the 3rd hole on my home course. Yesterday they decided to take up residence on the green on 3 and kindly left presents all over the green. I didn’t finish that hole. I didn’t want to end up “going viral”. 😂 While on the tee on 4, 2 more geese flew in to join them. Apparently number 4 is in the landing pattern. I work my way around the course and discovered they decided to pick up stakes move to the tee box for 6. These geese must hate me. 🤤There’s a lovely big pond between the green on 3 and the tee box on 6. I teed up from the red tees on 6. 😃

Story has it that at Inverness in Denver (a resort course) they had big problems with geese.  One day a couple of large trucks showed with along with large nets.

A crew went around the course capturing the geese and bringing them back to the trucks.  Later on the homeless in Denver were fed a nice meal.

I cannot verify this story but did notice a lack of geese last time I played there 👌
