I got the email as well, but I interpreted it to be a generic invitation to join the forum and become a tester, not an invitation to a specific test.

They do send emails out for some of the larger names brands they test so we shall see if something comes of it

Hopefully weather stays at bay have two rounds coming up Sunday & Monday. Had a metric a$$ ton of rain as most folks on the east coast have the past 2 weeks. But both mornings look fine, rain and nastiness wont start until later as of right now....As I type this I am sure it changed

Playing a local course that I was not able to play last year on Sunday @ 0630, 2nd tee time just how I like it

On Monday was invited by a vendor from work to a tournament at a real treat of a course @B.Bostonand our fathers try to play once a year, looks like I will be playing twice!!!!! Pinehills in Plymouth, MA.

I tried the Pro V1X Left Dash last weekend and they did not work well off the driver the first three holes. They flew lower than Pro V1X, and Snell MTB, and just fell out of the sky- not enough spin. Adjusted the driver all the way up to 10 and they worked better. No real advantage in distance over Snell MTB, so playing MTB Black tomorrow for the first time. Lofted the driver back down to 9*, but threw-in my Xphlexxx Busa Liquid 2 45.5” shaft, and took out the 18/14g weights and put in two 10g weights. Not sure I’ll be able to control the driver with the added 1/2”, but curious to see.

Same.  Tried the V1x, and V1 today against my beloved AVX… ripped most of them off the front of the green with wedges, came up 20 yards short on drives… yes, 20.

AVX is my ball, one hop and stop.  Trajectory like a leer jet… and it doesn’t feel like a piece of steel.

In the past, I’ve not found the AVX to go as far off driver as Pro V1X.

I started experimenting with the ProV1x late last season and really enjoyed how I was playing with it to the point that I bought four dozen for this season. Unfortunately, it has not been performing as well for me as it did last season and I have been working the ProV1 back in every once in a while. I am intrigued by the AVX and have considered picking up a sleeve to try it out.

It’s worth a look fellas.  It is by far my favorite ball ever… reminds me of that 2015 Wilson FG Tour a little.

Just plan for a smidge, I mean very small amount less check on the wedges. Instead of running back at me it stops close to the pitch mark.  You can still zip them.

pretty sure it is my wedge worn out that was causing me to lose some control on the shorter shots.  Full shots are nearly no different with wedges except they don’t fly off the green.

Scary moment yesterday in route to Dillon GC.  Just outside of Dillon on Hwy 41, cruise set at 70mph, and see a Subaru pull up from a side road.  They appear to angle slightly as if going to turn my direction (towards town) and stop.  Then, suddenly, turn sharp left and begin to move forward 😲.  Another full size truck behind me and a semi behind it.  I jumped on the brakes and thankfully missed his front end by what I don't know.  Those behind moved out into the opposing lane to get around.  As we all passed, I saw a gal get out of the passenger side of the car and start walking back on the road.  Not sure what the hell was going on, perhaps an argument, perhaps she freaked out, ??, but it sure spooked me.

I pulled into the golf course and the truck behind me also pulled in.  The smell of hot brakes and tires still in the air. The guy said he saw what happened and was sure he was going to be involved in a ugly scene.  We both took some solace that "today wasn't our day".  I hope the event scared the living stuff out of that pair and makes them more careful.  I can tell you for sure that I was way more attentive than usual to vehicles coming up to highway on my drive home.  Stuff happens fast.

That's a scary situation and I'm happy to hear nothing bad came out of that all happening.
