WOW.   Coming from a southerner  never in my life would I have thought hockey was that expensive.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. League fee fees as an adult are $1,100 a year per person. I play in 2 leagues one is invite only which luckly is free. My other team is sponsored so it helps the cost. Also have a travel tournament team we do 4-5 a year all over the country...  but playing hockey helps with the golf swing! 😄

Well, I tried the course I left my rangefinder at one last time. No one's turned it in. So someone in the area has a mint condition NX7 with a full battery. Hope they enjoy it 🙄

Back to using phone apps next season, since that always stays in my pocket. Or I'll look into a new watch since my Bushnell's battery doesn't even last a full 18 anymore.

What a shame. About 5 years ago I left a Nikon Coolshot at a private course - no one turned it in. Similar thing happened this past summer. my OW fell out of the cart on the way to the range. Nope. Nada - no one turned it in (fyi it had our name on the pinhigh sticker). . My wife and I generally find a half doz things on the course from covers to wedges and we immediately turn them into the Pro shop.

FYI I have a bright orange lanyard attached to my LRF - it's a little easier to spot when i leave it on the course.

In this case it was just plain ol' forgetfulness... my car battery was dead so as I was popping the hood and getting my cables out, my buddy hopped into the cart to return it while I was getting everything ready to hook up to his battery for a jump. I always do a walk-around of the cart to check the basket, dash storage, etc. and I didn't do that so the rangefinder was stuck to the side of the cart. Totally not his fault, it's mine for being preoccupied with the dead battery. It is what it is.

That stinks. Put one on your Christmas list and maybe Santa will bring you a replacement.

I thought about that! Not gonna lie. But honestly, I'm OK with going back to a watch or an app. Believe me - with my game, a few yards difference with slope on a rangefinder vs 18 Birdies is NOT going to make all that much of a difference to my scoring in the long run 😄

Appreciate the offer, Foz! I'm going to wait until after the holidays to do anything, depending on what shows up Christmas morning in the form of presents or gift certificates. No golf for at least 3 months for me most likely living in MA, so no rush on my end.

We played yesterday and my wife brought along the Bushnell even though she's not playing yet.  I only use a GPS because I like the Front, Middle, Back numbers.  On the par 3 holes she measured the pin, but I still had to look at the GPS to select a club.  I don't need the exact number.  I just want to know what club will get me on the green and what club will put me off the back.  Then select club accordingly for pin placement.

LOL Redneck Multi Tool---- Now when I was pulling wrenches I always kept an eye out for cheap wrenches at yard sales and flea markets. I would use them to modify to fit certain things. My big tool box has a drawer full of purpose built modified wrenches. LOL a couple of weeks ago a friend of mine called. He has an old 89 model F-100 7.3 diesel pick up. He needed a socket to change the glow plugs a regular 3/8 deep will not clear. Of course I had one I had made 25 years ago. I told him keep it IF I ever turned wrenches again I could grind another

I started the process of refinancing back in April with Wells Fargo and after 5 weeks and many hours of digging out, scanning & emailing paperwork they decided they weren't going to process any refinances because the appraisers couldn't / wouldn't do an in home appraisal.  I was disgusted enough after all the effort I didn't look for an alternative at the time but will probably get back on that now.

Like my wedges, I also have a few specialty custom grind wrenches that were used for specific jobs on specific vehicles over the years.
