I had a great week in Maine my youngest dog turned into an absolute phenom when it comes to grouse she was my best dog and my older dogs are good but she was a rockstar! It was cool to watch her grow throughout the week and now I’m back home cuddling with them on the couch. My friends and I had a great hunting trip and we saw an insane number of birds.

The stars aligned yesterday. My current home is under contract and we put an offer on a house south of Pinehurst and it was accepted. Signed the contract a few minutes ago.

Room for simulator, ✔

Room for putting green or mini putting course, ✔

Close to a Country Club, ✔

Not have to maintain 6 acres like I do now, ✔

Nice house, ✔

Bonus.... Water hazard, ✔  built in pool🤣

Now I ask myself?........why am I sitting on the couch on the forum instead of starting to pack?

Congratulations! I'm happy you've found a house and I hope the moving goes good.

One of the first things I thought about when you mentioned moving to the Sand Hills of NC was the great golf courses out that way. Pinehurst, Tobacco Road, etc...

How far is it from Cleveland? 🤣

I'm glad we got to play a few rounds together. But if you still want to it will now be 6-1/2 hours from your location.  But I have room. You could stay over.

I appreciate it, Tom. I'm glad we were able to get together and play, those have been some of the most enjoyable rounds I've played the last couple of years.

I'm excited about your move because I'm glad your wife is getting to be closer to her family and that's important.

I hope the driver is ok. That packaging almost looks like it's been run over.

Seems to be OK.  We have a 7:50 Tee Time on a very long Exec with 2Par 4’s.  We’ll see how PXG likes Florida.

My brother lives in Cary, NC.  I was in Fayetteville several times in my pre-golf years with the Army Reserve.  Never got to the Whispering Pines end of Fort Bragg but the whole Piedmont region is beautiful.  Next trip down I'm hoping weather cooperates for a round at Ryder and Stryker golf courses on the Fort as playing military courses always has a feeling of being home. The last trip past Bragg was a traveling day south to Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA the weekend before the Masters to celebrate a nephew's first wedding anniversary driving with my brother.  The prospect of driving most of the way after a rainy 9 hole round was not my first choice.  Next day was a brilliant sunshine afternoon, played 9 with brother on the newest Pine View Course of the 27 hole Gordon Lakes Course.  The next morning had a frost delay and played Island View Course with brother, nephew and his wife, the original back 9 of the Robert Trent Jones Sr course with his signature island hole.  Shot 50 on Pine and 51 on Island.  That was early March 2020 before COVID invaded our land and the world changed.

Thanks Kenny. To bad you didn't get to TN. But you ever know about Pinehurst. But I still work for the same company and our headquarters is in Kodak TN. Not far from Knoxville. So if you do get down that way let me know. I might need to schedule a week there. I know at a minimum  I'll be there every quarter for a week.

I will certainly do that.  I will likely be in and around Knoxville, but I have to spend some time in Greenville/Johnson City.  I'm sure I will have to head down to Cleveland, TN  😉... never been that far south in TN.

My wife was a contract programmer for the Navy up in Groton CT on the sub base. I got to play their course a few times. I don't know the rules these days. But if you ever get to Fort Bragg let me know. Its an hour from where I'll be. I'm game if they let me on base.

I cannot help but notice how well camouflaged your dogs are to that landscape, that must give you and edge while grousing and moving through the brush.  It's always the eyes that give away the position of anything well disguised and camouflaged (kinda a pro tip) not that you're hunting snipers or anything but might help spot something you aren't interested in meeting.

I've been debating deleting my Facebook profile since I rarely use it any more. My wife has discouraged it because she likes to browse the marketplace and doesn't want to create her own account. Shockingly, having an account proved to be a good thing last weekend. We were driving to MO to see my wife's family and she happened to be scrolling through FB and says, "hey, it looks like a couple of your old roommates are in Columbia." There is another old roommate that still lives there. It has been about 10 years since I had seen one of them, more like 20 for the other two. We grabbed some dinner, hung out, and spent a lot of time catching up. It was a great time.

I will say I do not miss having a Facebook and haven’t had one for over 5 years. However there are things like this that I miss about it connecting with friends whom you don’t have their number and such

As the golf season heads towards a close in Central NY. I added a new set of darts to my lineup. Went a bit lighter this time. 22 grams. Very grippy.

I've been debating deleting my Facebook profile

I did several years ago; wasn't using it and not really into that kind of social media. Tho I do see the benefits of potentially reconnecting with old, lost friends.

FYI for non-FB people -- found this the other day...

..FB keeps *your* contact info in their database if it's connected to any FB user .. and can use it in all the ways they use (abuse) all the user data .. this page lets you look up an email or phone # and request to have it deleted + not re-entered.

I think an autoflex shaft would work well in those darts!!  Better dispersion with less effort.  🤣

I plan on experimenting with linguini based shafts prepared with different boiling times to find the optimal flex. 😂

I could never get used to the light front ends of plastic tip darts like they use at some bars. I’m also very picky to darts I still throw the old wooden ones the best and could never find a metal one which I liked
