Players seem to keep the 3W in the bag unless it’s off the tee box. Goes for me as well. Semi-strange, I’m pretty consistent with my 5W but extremely inconsistent with the 3. The guys I play with pull the 3-wood all the time. They will be like 250 out, and I know there is no way even if they flush it that they are going to make it to the green. Then they top it lol. 3 2 Quote Follow my golf journey to break into the 80s Tester for the Titleist TSi Driver Spring 2020 MGS Tester for the Fujikura Motore X Shaft Updated 11/13/2021 Driver: TSi 2 - Autoflex Fairway Woods: TSi2 3 wood, 5 wood - Aldila Ascent 60 S Irons: T300 5 to SW - LAGP AXS Red 85 Stiff double soft stepped Wedges: K-grind 2.0 58 wedge - Xcaliber RT Spin Wedge 100 Putter: SIK DW Armlock - LAGP 180 armlock shaft

I use mine in the fairway as well doesn’t go as far as on a tee, big shock I know, but I do hit it well.

Does my mind good to see someone else who does not carry a driver, though I don't do well with the 3W either, realized this summer after trying the TaylorMade M3 3W once again it is heavier than I can properly swing and I am well beyond considering a Bryson style strengthening program. I actually hit hybrids off the fairway better than I can off the tee. 4 Quote Verified Hack, 23 handicap Golfing for exercise and peace of mind. |> Big Dogs: First StrikeTM Rattlesnake 10.5, O'Donnell Triumph hybrids 15 19 27, Ginty Trouble Club (29) |> Blades: First StrikeTM DeliveranceTM 3(20) 4(23) 5(26) 6(29) 7(33) 8(37) 9(41) P(45) |> Wedges: Worx (55) |> Flatstick: Pinemeadow Z-ON M1 (3) . Rickp 28,491
Somewhere on MGS I was reading a thread about hitting a 3wood off the deck. On Wednesday I play with a small group that is serious but generally average golfers like me. I knew 2 of these guys hit a 3wood often off the deck today was no different. My Cart Partner on the Front 9 hit it 3-4 times off the deck and all the shots were crushed. The other guy in 2nd Cart also hit the 3wood 2-3 times and he also hit it very well. it can be done……not by me. 5 Quote Rick Left Hand, Driver; Titleist TSi2, Kuro Kage 50 gr R2 5 Wood; Cally Steelhead 5 Hybrid; Cally Steelhead, Hazardous Vista Pro R2 Irons; Ping G710 6-GW, Recoil 460 R2 Putter; Waaay too many to list
Tom the Golf Nut 7,724
Boy it didn't take long!! I played a week ago and the fairways were still green. This week they are already dormant and a tan color. Even though they still play the same, it's just not as visually appealing. I drive through the pearly gates of the course, hear the angels of the course singing to me, then bam....... visually depressed. It all goes away on the first tee though. It's also harder to see a white ball on the light tan grass. Time to change colors. 4 Quote Driver, TSi1 10* Stiff Flex 3 Wood, SLDR HL 17* R Flex 5 Wood, SLDR 19* R Flex 7 Wood, F6 22.5* R Flex 939x 5 hybrid Irons, 699 Pro's S Flex (6 - AW) JB Wedge 56* Wedge, CBX 60* Putter, Marksman Fang 35"

My specialty is finding my way out of the water to live to play another day. Did I ever tell you about my encounter with the snapping turtle. That SOB though I was one of her eggs and tried to burry me. I had to roll my dimples off to get out of there.
