18 days since knee replacement and went to Rehab for evaluation.  That went really well.  Normal Rehab is 3X a week for 6 weeks.  They put me on a schedule of 2x a week for 4 weeks.  I’m doing everything that I’ve been told (SWMBO didn’t buy that) to do at home so I’m ahead of schedule.
According to Orthopedic Doc & Rehab they have me back on the course B4 end of July!!

Golf course next to us is shut down for maintenance.  I wanted to take walks over there but it’s to freakin hot & humid.

Great news!!  In a few months you will be shooting scores lower than you did last year... like I did.

Bacon Boyz are a rudderless right now.  I’m on the DL and my Buddy is on a 3 month RV Trip so they get a bit lost.

Did a hunt test with my pup today. She was by far the youngest dog there today and she did well for being young and I was super happy with me. Can’t wait for hunting season so I can hunt her for real instead of just training her.

After todays experience on the golf course. I don’t think I’ll be agreeing to be paired up with any randoms in the future.  I am a sailor, and have a spectacular vocabulary… but these guys made me blush.

Had some time to digest it, and it was almost bad enough for me to take a break from the game.  These are the type of guys you see jumping carts into sand traps.  It was terrible.  They made us share carts and the guy I was with smoked, and I seemed to always be downwind when he lit up.  I ended up walking a bunch to keep my space.

I don’t want to be any part of a party on the course.  I feel bad for these guys significant others….

Definitely would refuse that pairing. That  behavior would make it extremely difficult to get through a round.

Couldn't think of anywhere else to post this..

My new journey into aeronautics and aviation. Having recently been laid off for the 2nd time in 4 months, the writing on the wall is telling me to exit the mortgage industry for good. I have a good friend who's a flight instructor and is working on his path to become a private charter or regional pilot.

This is my 2nd flight totaling 2.7 hrs. We flew from Chandler down to Marana. Ate breakfast and flew back. In talking aerodynamics, physics, and how the plane functions and reacts to the elements, and preparation for weather, temp, etc, I couldn't help but see so many parallels to golf. After bringing up all of the similarities to golf and how we basically "navigate" the golf course, choose clubs, have an understanding of physics, pay close attention to the elements and surroundings, etc, etc, etc.. now he's interested in the game. 😬

They had to put on a good show for the course employees first. Unfortunate that were stuck with them.

That's awesome @azstu324! I can't say I blame you for looking for a path out of the mortgage industry and if you're going to do it, do it in style.

Thanks man! I just hope that this endeavor doesn't crash and burn.. (pun kind of intended)

I'm just in the very beginning stages of this journey and quite a lot has to fall into place for all of this to happen.. but if it means a way out of the Mafia (mortgage business) and an opportunity to support my family doing something that I can really enjoy.. I'm all in!

Congrats. I've got about 500 + hours in single and multi engine with a IFR rating (or whatever they call it now). Haven't piloted a plane since the early 80's.

On your reference to golf, yes there are similarities (skill especially), Except for the consequences of failure. If I have a bad day at golf ...well I just look forward to the next time. Failure in a plane 😱.

Keep at it - everything I read is that there's a real shortage of pilots which will get worse in the near future.

Very, very cool 🤙 Good luck with it!!

I've always been intrigued by learning to fly, but never .. haha .. pulled the trigger. Was thinking just the other day how I passed up taking an intro class in high school... 🤷‍♂️

OK now this is totally random ...
