Because the potential home buyers are nit picking me to death. But that's not the reason for this post. If all goes well and the move takes place, I already have Country Club selected close to the new house. It's a full country club with pool, tennis courts, dining and such. Donald Ross designed to boot. Here is the question. Since it is private, you have to fill out a membership application. With the application you also need two letters of recommendation from two existing members. I'm moving in from another state. How would I know two members? ( I checked the MGS member map. Nada) I'm sure I can go there once we get settled in and inquire. Hopefully get a work around, and a look around. But just going by the application on the web site left me wondering. Anyone come across something like this before? How did you get around it? @fozcycle just to piss you off, the full membership rate is the same as what your increase is. Kind of ironic. But considering 1/2 hour from Pinehurst that is really cheap. It's less than half of what my club charges. Talk to the PRO he/she will find someone to sponsor you. Shouldn't be much of an issue. Wasn't often but did happen when I worked at a private club. 5 Quote SIM 9.5* (GD XC 6X) SIM 15* (GD DI 7X) 3 DHY (GD DI HY8X) ZX7 4-PW (KBS C Taper S) Vokey SM8 49 08 F ( KBS 610) Vokey SM8 55 08 M (KBS 610) Vokey SM8 59 04 L (KBS 610) Special Select SquareBack 2 33" ProV1 Twitter @THEZIPR23 "One thing Golf has taught me, is that my muscles have no memory." hohjoe
I ordered something a few days ago and received an email from the shipper this morning that it was flagged as “out for delivery “via UPS. The same email also stated if I had not received the item within two days to notify the customer service department. They apparently know UPS and its delivery issues well if the package is marked as out for delivery and the actual delivery can take two days or longer. 1 2 Quote Driver: PXG Gen5 0311 XF Fairway Woods: PXG Gen 5 0311 XF 4 & 7 Hybrids: PXG Gen 5 0311 22 & 25 Irons: PXG 0211 DC 4-SW Putter: SeeMore Si3 BatCaddy X8R
hohjoe
If you vote in person thank a poll worker. I worked the polls for the first time this past Tuesday and wow, what a long day. Onsite at 6AM and we didn’t leave until after 7PM and we couldn’t leave the polling place during the day. Everyone I worked with was happy to be there and happy to help people and it was a great experience. I would do it again and may get a chance next month. I should be rested by them. 6 Quote Driver: PXG Gen5 0311 XF Fairway Woods: PXG Gen 5 0311 XF 4 & 7 Hybrids: PXG Gen 5 0311 22 & 25 Irons: PXG 0211 DC 4-SW Putter: SeeMore Si3 BatCaddy X8R

sirchunksalot
At our 6 o'clock meeting this morning our supervisor told us to let him know who was working 10 hour days next week so we could still get in our 40 for the week since Friday was a non production day and we didn't have to take no pay no penalty, PTO, or come in and do nothing. At 7:15 it was announced that we are producing next Friday and no one was getting off. There goes my planned Friday round next week.

Popular Post Getoffmylawn
Sigh. Seems like I've been doing this a lot this year, but I again apologize for falling off the radar with MGS. I love this community and take pride in being a part of it, and "pulling my weight" from a participation standpoint. Suffice it to say, a lot going on lately. First, my daughter appears to be fine. No open-heart surgery will be necessary...she's going to have a prescription for a bit and some diet recommendations, but overall no real long term impacts. Second, many of you know my 34 year old sister passed away this summer. Long story short, there is a tremendous history of cancer in my family...all four of my grandparents, my father at age 60, three aunts, and now my sister. As my sister was being treated, she had genetic testing performed and they discovered a gene mutation that was a likely culprit for her cancer, and my Dad's. Her medical team advised my Mom, brother and I to get screened accordingly, so I've been waiting 3 weeks for the result of a genetic screening for that particular gene mutation, and 83 others...basically the full panel. The verdict came in yesterday...mutation free! It was a weird feeling waiting to hear if I might be doomed, or could expect a long "normal" life. And, how would I respond to the news if I was positive...go uber healthy to do everything to fight it off, or "you only live once" and enjoy my limited time. Sorry...heavy stuff for a golf thread. Hopefully it offers some kind of explanation for my inconsistent participation of late. Hope to remedy that and then some going forward. 19 Quote Driver: TSR2, Ventus Blue 6 S, 65g Stiff FW: TSR2 3w, 15, Ventus Blue 7 S, 70g Stiff Hybrids: Apex Pro 3H, Ventus Blue 8 S, 80g Stiff Stealth DHY 4H, Ventus Blue 8 S, 80g Stiff Irons: JPX 919 Forged 5-GW, Aerotech Steelfiber i95 Stiff Wedges: SM9 54 S Grind bent to 55, 60 M Grind bent to 59, Aerotech Steelfiber i110 Stiff Putter: White Hot OG Double Wide, Stroke Lab shaft Ball: Pro V1 Click here for my HONMA TR20 Official Review! My family has a similar history, I tested this spring but the result came back I have the mutation. Went through my first scanning this past summer, and so glad I did. Will be screening annually for a while but honestly it’s just nice to know and glad I’m actually able to be proactive. was absent for a bit recently as we’ll been a hectic month. We'll be here once your life settles and you can participate in the forum on a regular basis. I'm happy to hear your daughter is not going to need surgery and that you are free of the mutation that has plagued your family. I've not been as active recently, either. There's been a lot going on at home and my focus has been here. Like you, I hate not being as active but I know it'll calm down and I'll be back to talking about this game we all enjoy soon.
Popular Post Tom the Golf Nut
I've got a lot going on also with " hopefully" my move. The buyers of my current home are nickle and dimeing me to death. Take off money for a new front roof, fix any weathered boards, Fix the old termite damage in the crawlspace after you fully treat the house for termites since there was old damage. I just finished the weekend putting in an additional layer of main beams and a few cross beams. Six 2×8's and three 2x10's. Also added in four additional support posts. Do you know how hard it is to add new beams along side existing beams in a crawl space. With your entire house bearing weight on those existing beams. Not to mention all the electrical lines and heat pump lines your trying to get around. I am getting too old for that kind of work but my son learned a lot helping me. Not to mention saving a few thousand dollars if someone else did the work. Because I needed this on top of trying to pack up everything. I'm a sore puppy right now. But on a positive note. The house in NC is going smoothly. 15 Quote Driver, TSi1 10* Stiff Flex 3 Wood, SLDR HL 17* R Flex 5 Wood, SLDR 19* R Flex 7 Wood, F6 22.5* R Flex 939x 5 hybrid Irons, 699 Pro's S Flex (6 - AW) JB Wedge 56* Wedge, CBX 60* Putter, Marksman Fang 35"
