Thanks to all for the likes and good wishes. I'm still sore, but it's nice to know what the problem is. It was pretty f'ed up, and I'm going to have some words with the hospital before I pay that ER copay, but all in all, I'm glad that I don't have a more serious clot.

I'm also lucky my clients and co-workers were so understanding with all the meetings I cancelled at the last minute yesterday.

does anyone know if you can use a Golf Galaxy gift card at Dick's Sporting Goods ?

Yes. Their gift cards span across the franchises. You can also use them at Field and Stream if desired. It's in the fine print on the back of the cards.

Anyone else try and replicate tour pros swings? I've been watching a lot of Thomas Pieters lately, going to try and closely mimic it. As I'm 6'6”, he's the only one that comes close at 6'5” I believe.

Many people try and many instructors try to teach that way. The V1 swing software was the first that I remember that came with PGA player videos to allow such a comparison. I personally prefer the Arnold Palmer approach if swing your own swing. We don't necessarily have the same body makeup (arm length, flexibility, weight, etc) to be able to mimic a swing. But lots of players became good players by emulating swings, so in does work for some.

I don't do it on purpose, but if I watch too much of certain players, their tendencies will subconsciously creep into my swing. Some for better, some for worse.

DJs wrist bend is the worst offender because it leads to many chunks. Matsuyama's pause has been pretty good for my pre shot routine. Rickie's whippy swing can cause me to launch everything wide right. Phil's smoothness is good for my tempo. Watching the Pro Tracer on these guys has brought a new level to it for me because now I'm trying to mimic some of the ball flights as well.

Speaking of Phil, as a righty, I used Tom Glavine's (lefty) mechanics to help me develop my pitching mechanics for baseball. It's easier to use a lefty vs flipping the video of a righty as a mirror because the righties just never look right flipped.

To cnosil's point, I think there's certain elements of pro players swings that are good to adopt but don't try to take the whole thing. They've got their own swing flaws just like the rest of us.

T....I've been meaning to post this to you for a couple days now, but this post above is literally the PERFECT one to do so.

I have to say, i absolutely love your Avatar.  Sure maybe you're not a pro, but if I could be in that finish position on even half of my swings, I'd be a very happy camper.   As a fellow tall golfer 6'5" well maybe 6'4" now that time is taking a toll..ha, It's very hard--for me-- to swing and finish in such a nice balanced manor.

Have you ever felt like you were standing in a round trash can  swinging a driver.  When you finish your follow through the can tips over sending ya big arse forward.  lol  Yep that's me and my balance these days.     :D

Yep, I have often thought that my swing belongs in a trash can.

Oh no never, I can't even mimic my own swing. I honestly do not look at anyone else's swing it would confuse me to no end[emoji15]

Watching "Greateat Golf Collapses" on YouTube and it's got this somber music playing with it... My god, this is some sad footage.
