NCST8golf
Cnosil - Walking scorer is the holy grail of tournament volunteering! Congrats on that. For the past 5 years I have been on the laser crew shooting distances for shotlink. Assignments can be in the fairways or on the greens. I will be on holes 7 and 12 at Quail Hollow this year. Hoping maybe Phil will send one my way and have to cough up a glove! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

NCST8golf
Easier job to get at an LPGA event. I love walking inside the ropes with some of the best women golfers in the world. It is great to hear the discussions between the players and caddies. I guess I got lucky, started out as a standard bearer and then transferred over. Great gig. I started 6 years ago as a marshall and driving range attendant. Marshalling was no bueno - inside the ropes, but your job is to have your back to the action. Laser crew is great. And I agree - caddie/player interaction is something we don't get much of on television. I enjoy hearing how different teams will breakdown the same shot from my post in the fairway. Those of us that have volunteered in the past at Wells Fargo got first crack at the PGA Championship jobs last year. That was a very cool experience. Looking forward to next week! And my name remains on the walking scorer waitlist! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

Everytime I go to reach for the camera they fly away - only nests we have though are robins.
