Golfing Today?

My club is closed today for a private fund raiser tourney so we had to go elsewhere. That said, we elected to play at Wentworth, also owned by the same company......as Pebble Creek members can play for $10.

 

So, we are meeting for breakfast at Waffle House then taking one vehicle to Tarpon Springs, about 30-40 minute drive.

It is the ABSOLUTE PERFECT day for golf. Sunny and 75. Unfortunately, we're having a housewarming party so I won't be able to get to the course. Maybe I'll be able to sneak out later before the sun goes down.

I agree. Going out late and playing until sundown is perfect to me. Especially at my course, there usually isn't anywhere there that late so I have the whole thing to myself.

Just played one of my favourite courses in Chester Nova Scotia. A not overly tough but challenging course with amazing views. Got myself around with a 86 which as always could have been much better or much worse. Either way had a great time with some new ppl.

We have had so much rain recently. Three days of it with the tropical storm this weekend, so our courses are soaked. Ranges too. No swinging the club anytime soon around here. Ugh.

No tropical storms, but a crap ton of rain. It's just soggy. The river is high and running fast!

I'm so sorry you had to play there. .

 

Never again even if they pay me. What a terrible track. Pretty property and great 19th hole but man whoever designed it must never have played golf in his life.

 

Oh and lest anyone think that's sour grapes I've shot 76 and 78 there and my team won the league scramble there a couple of years ago.

Waited 4 days to give my knees and shoulder a rest. Knees felt OK, shoulder hurt a little but I couldn't hit a freakin shot! Nothing worked! Only had one par on the front. Gave up keeping score I can't count that high.

Can't wait for tomorrow, need a week off

I was able to sneak in a quick 18 before the rain hit at my home course. Shot a 81 which is great since they just punched the greens and I couldn't hit a putt lol.

I'm thinking about heading up to the course in a bit myself.   With it being a holiday weekend, it'll be more crowded than a women's shoe convention...
