Heading out shortly for our Thursday group .   I've got my old Callaway Razr XF irons back in the back as they were hawt Tuesday.    The Ping G irons have been lack luster for me after a good start.   I'm thinking it's the AWT 2.0 steel shafts that I am having issues with.  Don't know for sure what the issue is however my comfort sticks will be in play today.

Hmmm, AP1 & Ping G both not making you happy? Graphite senior shafts?

Honestly I should have listened to you and kept the Titleist AP1 714 irons with the graphite shafts.  They were fine clubs. The Pings are no doubt solid irons and I should probably keep them around for at least a year.   Will I do it, probably not.  I have the hawts for some Steelheads.......     I think regular graphite shafts are good for me although I would not be opposed to trying some senior shafts at some point.  I'm not vain when it comes to that sort of thing.  Whatever works right?  ;)

I also regret selling my AP1 but they had regular steel shafts hindsight should have put graphite shafts in. I have great hindsight

I had a bit of a problem going to senior shafts but it was probably for the best. Best reason is I'm a senior

I shot 45 / 39 yesterday and heading back out today to try and better that front nine!  A bit warmer with less wind should help my cause.

Played Wednesday morning, cool start low 40's and wind started blowin 15-25 with gusts to 30! Oh boy, fun time. Somehow shot 43-42=85 and it wasn't easy but was fun. Some shots into the wind were just plain funny.

Wouldn't mind doing it again except temps in the 70's or 80's

Playing this morning with temps in the mid 50 range and I'll be bagging my new irons.  This should be an interesting day as I haven't hit them yet and the specs are totally different than what I am accustomed. My last set was standard and these were fit at 2 up and 1/2 long.  I'll jump on the range for a little pre round warm up and gawd knows what will show up!

Well I was going to play this morning... But then my phone calendar went off and I have a golf lesson at 2pm... Which is an hour and 15 minute drive... So instead I'll hit some balls before I head on down there... Which is actually better because it's been raining and instead of having my lesson tomorrow like I thought... I'll just play golf instead in the warmer, sunny weather coming tomorrow.

I sucked like an Electrolux on steroids!   Shot a 94 however I can't blame it on the new irons.  My driving was horrendous.  I pulled my jumbo grip off and put a midsize on and the club kept twisting in my hands.   My driving was the worst of 2018 by far. The funny thing is I have been hitting it (really solid) up until today.  I was hoping with the smaller grip I would be able to generate more clubhead speed.....   Wrong .....  Goes to show how important it is to get off the tee in decent position.....

Should of left the jumbo grip on 😁😂. We all have rounds like that. Next week will mark my return to golf after basically a 6 month hiatus... Holy moley.. Didn't realize it's been that long! I'll be hitting the range hard to get back to form... What ever form decides to show up that is.. 😂

Played 18 this morning, then home for yard work and pool cleaning, then back out by myself for another 18. Best part of the day was that the sun was out!! 92 first round...even thru 5 then went 8 over next 3..Struggled off the tee big time. Second 18 was am 88...still struggled off the tee and short iron play was horrendous!! Almost laughable actually as I took more penalty stroke my last 3 rounds then I have all year. Did I say the sun was out?

This year might be your time! Sounds like a good fun event for the members and the post round activities not too shabby either. ;)

My wife and I took the grand children to the park & zoo yesterday. I came home and cut the grass and worked around the house. Today I will be chasing that little white ball around! :D

Just catching up......my team came in 2nd! Just one stroke behind the winner. We had 6 birdies and 1 bogey for -5. Plus we had a lot of fun!
