Should have taken the first offer on my house. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Jack wagon came back after the inspection asking for waaaaay to much for “repairs” and to lower the price....

NOPE!

I hate that. It's happened to us twice and we negotiated one to a split the other I walked away from.

Good luck and do what you gotta do

This morning, I awakened very early and very hungry.
Still in my bathrobe--

I assume that you saw Tony Soprano getting his morning newspaper_

you know that people who look like me wear bathrobes, right?--

I attacked the left-over Chinese food from last night.

It was really good, but then, the fortune cookie that I had with my coffee and meds said....

"Success is in the hands of those who wants it."

I'm in for a very bad day.

My league partner was a baseball umpire and a college football official (Div II) as well.

Eventually he became a referee and a crew chief.

I asked him a question that had always confused me about amateur football.

If you don't have to be down by contact, why isn't the holder on a placekick attempt

immediately whistled down upon receiving the ball?

It appears that there's a special rule covering that.

Sorry about your ruined weekend, Matt.

I was going to have 5 free hours all to myself tomorrow. Perfect time to go play a round.

Then I was chatting with another dad who helps build the marching band props and he mentioned we're behind on construction and he's on a business trip all week, so he was unsure whether or not the props would be finished before the first competition.

So now I'm building props for 4 hours tomorrow afternoon.

(yeah yeah yeah I know, minor minor complaint, but I haven't played a round in nearly a month and the next chance I'm going to have to play 18 is going to be *checks calendar* October).

Why is it that strangers in a public place feel the need to strike up unprovoked conversations??? Leave me alone. I'm here waiting in line (DMV) just like you and do not feel compelled to talk to anyone...ever...

Now don't get me wrong. I'm all for the betterment of the human race...I just hate people.

Sounds so much like me that I laughed out loud. Now all these strangers want to talk about what I'm laughing at.

I didn't always hate people. 25 years in education did that to me!

Jack wagon came back after the inspection asking for waaaaay to much for “repairs” and to lower the price....

NOPE!

I literally walked out of a closing once because I needed a week to get something moved out of the garage, and the couple that were buying (I had given and given and given to them) weren't going to help me out. I ended up getting my week by walking out and having it rescheduled for a week later.

Maybe not my best moment, but after everything I'd done to help them make it work, I wasn't in the mood for it.

Supposed to be a bad winter. Guess that means cooling things off way early. We usually see frost Mid September; so I guess it isn't that far out of the norm. Just not ready for it yet.

Our superintendent saw some pictures of a course in I think very north North Dakota or somewhere that already had some snow on it. He got all giddy!! We all gave him a scowl. Damn Superintendents and their love of snow. Ha

Why on earth would he like snow? It causes so much damage to the courses. They just now recovered from last winter... only to start all over again.

Obviously, a superintendent would like snow because it means his vacation season has started.

Actually snow is good for most type of grass in a few ways.

One it keeps golfers off the course ...so the greens and fairways can heal.

And the snow actually acts as a blanket helping keep the grass warm from the extreme cold and wind.

I know it was hard for me to wrap my head around it. But thinking back this past winter we had very little snow and lots of play. And our conditions were never better than "fair" all summer.

The winter before last we had a blizzard and snow on the ground most of the winter and last year we had great conditions in spring and all summer long.

You beat me to the response. I also thought snow would be detrimental to the course but I was told it was the sleet/freezing rain that did the damage.

Just a while ago, I ran out to grab a few things for us to munch on during the Patriots' season opener.

On the way home, I had to stop to let a family of wild turkeys cross the street.

I was made to be a city dweller.

Now I have to wait for turkeys.

Just take me now, Lord.
