This was the best "idiot driver" picture I saw from our first snow.  And no, it wasn't me!

So this isn't a problem its more of a question. Why do we not make idiots, people, take mandatory classes on driving in snow north of the Mason dixon line?

I've been fortunate enough to be out of town the past few years for the first snow fall and by the time I get home people have re-learned how to winter drive and it's much less stressful

Got a question I’m sure someone here can help.
I have a SkyCaddie Linx GT Watch. I like the watch and would like to use it as an on course GPS distance to green only with out the other graphics, analysis with my iPhone.
My problem is that the watch won’t work unless I subscribe to the full iPhone option.
Does anyone know how to use without the app?
Thanks.

I had some pretty ugly snow driving accidents when I was a young kid, although, thank God, nobody was ever badly hurt.

You have to acquire experience to drive in northeastern winters (or anywhere where roads ice up).

The luckier drivers acquire it without taking a few bumps first.

I personally don't know too many of those, however.

If you're a Masshole,  you've probably filled out some insurance claims.

I have one of those too from the beta test, unfortunately like most skycaddie products I don't think you can use it without a subscription.  At best maybe it would still do GPS on just the watch face?  I haven't tried that.

However if all you want is a GPS app to use on your phone there are a bunch of other free options out there.

Man... I saw this exact same thing once. A lady had somehow driven her Honda Accord up a cable that was anchored to the ground and attached to the pole. We drove up on her as she was trying to get out of the car and jump down. We were scared she'd get the thing off balance and it'd flip on her or something. I don't recall exactly as it's been 30 years ago but I think a truck came by and attached a rope or something to it and pulled it back down. I do remember that she drove off afterwards. Crazy.

Rick,

From what I can see you have to have the watch paired to your phone in order for it to work but there's a free Go Play membership. I don't know if that is what you're after but it was all I could find.

Yes that’s what I’m after. The problem I have is the watch is “full” and I’m not able to dump the data. I tried from my iPhone, laptop windows 10 and Chrome Book. There was always some issue on their end.
May just get a Golfbuddy Voice 2 and be done with it.

You’re correct. I have paired and synced without a problem, the issue is “dumping” the data.

Grasshopper,
Thank you!! It works and took 2 minutes.

I contacted SkyGolf CS and the directions they emailed me looked like it was a Law Document.
Thanks again, owe you a “Sam Adams”

Not getting adequate notice is tough, but how badly do you want to sell.

My house was on the market for a very long time, I would have shown that thing at 1 am if that’s what was needed. It does suck that you aren’t being given much notice, but the alternative is that no one wants to look at it.

True, that's a good way to look at it. The house has been on the market for almost 2 years and we've had over 30 showings so it's just getting a little frustrating.

Yes, I know the pain. We were relocated to SC from Michigan, and we had the house on the market for 1.5 years before it sold. It was horrible and frustrating, we had very few showings, and never thought it would sell. It sold the same month we moved into our house here, it was such a relief at the time.

Hang in there,  it just takes the right person to come in.

2 packages from Amazon show delivered on Wednesday...we have “cluster” mailboxes on our street with 3 parcel lockers for packages. USPS puts a parcel locker key in my mailbox, I open it...get a package for my neighbor not me.....take it to my neighbor then open their box and they have a parcel locker key....they open it and there is a package for a different neighbor not me.....we take package to then they open their mailbox and no parcel locker key!

I call the post office and they don’t have any idea where my packages are!

I do know the shop well. The guns will come out for sure. If you look past the dogs you'll see the kennels and drawer system are extensive. They come out but it's a pain hence my dilemma. 20171018_120749.jpeg

The kennels are secured via screws to the drawer and the drawer is heavy when loaded(it is) and that has some tie downs to the truck bed. With the damage being the fender I feel that the cap needs to come off but we will see20181117_073719.jpeg

In keeping with the new direction of this thread, I have something of a rant posed in the form of a question.  Just in time for the holidays!

Everyone knows that one guy who wears out his welcome.  He shows up uninvited, eats your food, drinks your drinks, kicks your dog, clogs up your toilet and sleeps on your couch for a week before you finally forget decorum and throw him out of your house.  You've likely known this guy since elementary school.  He isn't very well liked by anyone, especially those who have known him as long as you have.  He may even be obnoxious, annoying and something of a bully.

How do you rid yourself of this person permanently without going to prison or entering the witness protection program?
