So after just making this drive 10 days ago, the wife and I are back on 1-80 for 15 hours heading back to Erie, PA.  Her step-brother has been battling cancer for a year and he’s lost the battle…in hospice care now and hours/days left.  Racing back to hopefully say goodbye before we can’t.

I'm so sorry to hear this, and I hope you both are able to make it to see him.

I know the feeling I’m with my sister who is doing the same thing. If you need anything let me know. I’m heading by that area when I head home Tuesday

A friend of mine had shingles a few years ago, apparently it sucked. He was dealing with the aftermath for quite a while afterwards.

That’s what I thought☹️, although I think @sirchunksalot is a fair bit younger than me. Can’t get anti virals until the rash breaks out, doctor expects that to be in the next couple of days. Supposed to reduce the length and severity of it🤞

We gave known friends/relatives who have contracted shingles and it’s nasty and very painful.
A couple of them had the shingles shots and the symptoms were not as severe as the people who didn’t.  Please get the shots.

Vaccine is free for 60+ here, not sure of the cost for under 60.

Not necessarily a problem for me, but I have 3 people from the main office out visiting client plants this week. Our director of sales and service had her bag and purse stolen out of the rental car they were using while we had stopped for lunch. Someone broke a window and grabbed the closest bag it looks like. Work computer, work notebooks, credit cards, drivers license, passport were all in there. They are supposed to head back to Florida tomorrow, so she has to spend today figuring out all of that.

Ouch - hope you don't get any blame for that. Good lesson in never, ever leaving something visible in the car. We always lock our stuff in the trunk - before we park somewhere that way no one can watch us loading them into the trunk.

Doesn’t always work.  I was on a trip and everything was loaded in the trunk at the work location.   Drove to lunch and when the trunk was opened when they got back to the hotel the trunk was empty.

NOTHING LIKE BEING -1 THROUGH 6 THEN RUNNING INTO PEOPLE THET TEE’D OFF HOURS AGO.

GET A MOVE ON PEOPLE!!!

SLOW PLAY IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST THING IN GOLF….

yes, I was yelling.

Reminds me of a time a few years back. Was in another province for a camp coaching and wanted to get a round in before it started. Never played the course before and it had been raining all morning. So rain stops I go to the proshop and say I'm ready to go and attendant mentions there is a 4 some that just went out as well. I ran to try and beat them to the first tee, but they had already hit. Played the first hole waiting on all my shots and managed to catch them on the par 3 2nd where they let me through.... Skip through to 18 (Hole 9 and 18 have shared green) as I'm finishing up my last putt the 4 some I passed on hole 2 was finishing up their putts on 9. They all looked at me stunned, went into the proshop and thanked the attendant for getting me on and he asked if I wanted a refund for 9 holes. I said what do you mean I played 18! He just looked at me in shock said well then, have a great morning!

Slow play hurts and just kills so much momentum. Dare I ask how the round finished or did you call it a day after waiting for a few holes?

If you are having a tournament where the golf course will be a parking lot….. DONT LET PEOPLE NOT IN IT PLAY!!

Personal best round going on, get to hole 10 and there are 5 groups of 4 waiting to tee off.  Seriously.  At least bring that up before I pay.

I don’t know how you guys can do 4 hour rounds and still enjoy golf,  I really don’t.

whack ball, find it, whack again…

do they not realize how slow they are or what?

I finished -1.  But I blocked both of the last drives in the crap because I was sitting for 15 minutes on the tee box waiting for them to have tea and stiffened up.  Asked for a rain check because I refused to sit in the parking lot party.  That’s when they told me that they were having a tournament.

More on slow play Man… it really is the foremost problem with golf.  I don’t cere if you’ve got Lil Wayne on blast anymore.  Just get the heck out of the way, and play ready golf.  It really drains the fun out of it.
