That is annoying and funny. Back in Florida a friend of my wife's ran a red light camera in my car, so I got the ticket in the mail. Felt pretty odd to sell out my wife's friend and report that she was actually the one driving. 

Also reminds me of the time I was pulled over because the cop thought I stole my own car. I may have sarcastically asked him why I would rip out the stereo before I stole it. 

In reality it had been broken into outside my apartment the day before and I hadn't had a chance to get the busted window fixed yet. Officer saw the busted window and guessed it had been stolen. It was an interesting excuse to be a few minutes late to work that day.

It’s been a week. My grandfather on my moms side passed away beginning of the week. Not to get to far into the weeds he was a great man and grandfather for a very long time but there were some family BS in August, large scale blowout and he wasn’t the man i knew from that point on so it’s been a struggle. That was the last time I saw him.

I will choose to remember him as the man I brought to breakfast and his sons (my Godfather) grave site with on Mondays (at that time my day off). Those were some of the best discussions I have had with someone so it’s crap the way everything happened.

on top of that one of my moms sisters was positive for Covid and had spread to a majority of the brothers and sisters including my parents. It’s an absolute show that could have been avoided and I’m pissed off.

they are doing a wake for children and grandchildren. Which my siblings and I will not attend and not sure who besides me will be going to the funeral (standing at a far distance in support of my mother, the only way I can at this time).

Did not want to go into social media like most do with a memorial post, as the relationship for me was severely damaged but needed an outlet here thanks all.

On my drive home from my hunting trip my truck decided to take a crap on me. Revs up and loses all engine power. I can hear the torque converter spinning and sounds like it isn’t engaging. Worst part is I’m west of Chicago and I’m still 800 miles from home.

Is it a GM with a 4L60? Could have just given you all neutrals or the sunshell is toast.

I put it in gear and it just grinds I think the whole transmission is toast. Checked my fluid saw some metal in the fluid

... I feel your pain, been there and done that twice. I was traveling from Chicago to NC for Thanksgiving and threw a rod in my BMW 530i just outside Indianapolis. 59,000 and out of warranty but BMW offered to pay 1/2 because BMW's doesn't make defective engines. Had to ship it to Hilton Head SC because my BIL is a BMW service manager so it only ended up costing me about $7,500. Then on the way to the PGA show several years later my differential blew up about 5 miles outside of Valdosta Ga and I had to get a rental car to make it to Demo Day then drive back from Orlando 3 days later to pick up my 530i. I traded it in on a Hyundai Genesis as soon as I got home. Good luck with your truck.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather's passing and the rift that happened in your family. 

Hopefully things as far as your mom goes, I hope she tests negative. Having something happen to mom is quite possibly one of the worst experiences I can think of and I hope and pray you get good news.

Unfortunately both tested positive. Funeral was difficult today not being able to be with them. They otherwise feel fine just pretty tired which is expected with everything going on. Appreciate the words!

Really sorry to hear this, my grandmother is suffering from a type of Alzheimers/dementia right now and she has episodes that she appears to be a completely different person, only to forget they happened later. It is really hard and s***** thing to go through. I hope that everyone recovers and that tempers and tension cools.

After weeks of therapy, SWMBO is in surgery right now to repair her rotator cuff.  Then, after she recovers, I will have similar surgery.  Please keep us in your prayers as we recover from the July auto accident.

Update:  SWMBO is now home and resting comfortably.  Now for the next 6 weeks her right arm will be immobilized……Ugh!

Glad the surgery went well.  Make sure she doesn't do anything stupid and try to use that arm!!  Ugh! is right!!  I'm thinking about all the extra work you have to do around the house... but don't overdo your arm!

While I continue to wait for call backs for interviews for jobs I put in for, I was looking at a job clerking at the DMV that I heard about from my folks that the fiance, who is also looking for something new potentially, might be interested in. Turns out, the starting wage at that job, a job with a state pension and benefits, is 10 dollars less than what she currently makes now. It's 14.67 an hour because although in NYS the minimum wage is 15 dollars in NYC and Westchester and LI, for all other areas it's 13.20. Unbelievable and they wonder why they can't get anyone to take the job when fast food places are offering 17 or 18 an hour to the completely untrained.

We can’t get paramedics at my fire department because they start at 18 and warehouse jobs in my area are 20+

We’ll the family made it 2 years without having any covid positives. Whole family has got it so here’s to it not being too bad for the kids and a quick 10 days.

silver lining we all got it at once so no quarantine extensions, and at-least it’s not golf season. Wish me luck
