Caught Covid this week. Got the monoclonal antibodies Friday and feel really good today. Good possibility I test negative Wednesday or Thursday.

We have had friends who have gotten the monoclonal treatment and have done well.

I asked about getting that and they couldn’t “recommend” me as I am not high risk. Glad you were able to I heard it is a serious boost!

Our 17 year old Gdaughter got Covid maybe 5 weeks ago.  Had 2shots so vaccinated.  Still doesn’t have taste or smell.

My doctor here gives it to anyone no matter the “risk” level, we even got it for my 14 year old. He’s given the Regeneron over 800 times to patients… Wish you lived near here!

Annoying yes but minor which is good. Hopefully it stays that way.

Broke my toe while photographing a 10U baseball game at the end of September. Emulsion fracture on my big toe and the small chip isn’t healing so docs will not be cutting the chip out and anchoring the tendon down to my foot…

Well, my wife needed to take her car in for a service last Friday.  I picked her up; they had the car all day, and didn't get to it, so we drove over to pick it up for the weekend and try again next week.  We stopped by a pub for dinner on the way home.  I pulled into the garage... next morning my car was dead.  I mean DEAD.  Turns out it was the battery... a "special" battery!  I was going to take it into the dealer today, but it snowed last night and it's still snowing.  Will try tomorrow.

Soooo, I took my truck to the doctor's office at 8am this morning.  A couple of weeks ago while walking the back nine (easier of the two nines), I felt a sharp pain in my right knee (left knee is fake), and it affect swings on my followthrough.  X-rays showed that I have some bone-on-bone on the inside part of my knee.  Looks like I may have another replacement in the future. 

Forget the Tylenol... make that hydrocodone!!

You’ve had a Lousy few days.  Sorry to hear about the knee.  Knee replacements are a major industry in FL, I’m supposed to get a right knee early 2022.

I almost waited too long on my left knee, according to the doc.  I wasted some good golf years playing with pain, and developed bad habits compensating for it.  Don't want to do that with my right knee.  I'll make a decision in June, and schedule for Oct/Nov like I did my last one.  Then I can be ready to play in early 2023.

I think I’ve waited a bit too long mostly because of the C-19.  I still like keeping  the original equipment.

10 years ago I was down to an 8 index, but the few years before my left knee replacement I slowly went back to a 14 index.  Couldn't get to my left side without pain, so I stayed on my right side too much.  It took me nearly a year after replacement to get back to a 9 index.  Some old age issues in there as well; happy to make it back as far as I did.  I think the right knee replacement won't have nearly the swing issues, as I can make a decent golf swing now without pain... as long as I make it on level terrain.  I found out last week that downhill sidehill lies are No Bueno!!

Dad has the Delta Variant, with a side of Bronchitis… does not sound good at all.  If you don’t mind, keep the OG Shankster in your thought.

Despite full vaccination, booster, and masking in public, I contracted Covid last week.  Only way I knew was by taking the home test after my wife tested positive.   Fortunately, my symptoms were very mild -- nothing more than sniffles and a scratchy throat.  My wife was sicker, but she tends to have much more severe reactions to colds, medications, etc.  In any case, I have not been playing golf -- isolating myself from others -- and will not be playing until next week.  I guess I could play with a mask on, but that doesn't appeal to me, at all.  On the other hand, it's been cold on most of the playing days, so....

Me again.  Got bit by a dog on a walk.  Looks to be mostly superficial, but going to get it checked out anyways.  The lady didn’t sound to sure that the dogs shots were up to date.

Sitting in the waiting room now, 1.5 hour wait… sounds like they might give me the rabies shot since they don’t know if the dog was up to date… 

 

This can only mean a HOI is coming when I go play golf.  I’m going to make sure to check the weather, and leave the 1 iron at home. ️
