Oh yeah, they still aren’t here.

Have you called?

About three PCS’s ago the mover f’d up…at Ft Leavenworth (KS) the packer had us all boxed up and ready, but the actual trailer and loaders never showed until the contractor finally admitted they had dropped the ball and there was no driver scheduled.  We had a closing appointment on a home purchase we had to make in 2 days in Maryland.  Contractor ended up having to pay for our airline ticket and hotels to accommodate for all the hoops we had to jump through.

Hope this one goes well for you.  I always freak out that they’re not going to be done on time, but that Kansas one is the only time my fears proved justified.

They showed up at 1300.  But, as I expected they will be coming back tomorrow.  I have time, but a guy at the unit next door to ours had his move canceled and no one even told him.  Just didn’t want to drive a UHaul truck 3000 miles… 🤦🏼‍♂️ Or your situation…

Seem to be ok so far.  Taking their time to label everything correctly.  Apparently they can’t find drivers to deliver in Oregon… so that will be fun.  I will be “not around” when they show up, so I’ll have to bring my whole slew of stuff with me.

3 moves ago we had them show up unannounced at 7am.  A week early.  I about lost my mind.

... Crazy right? When I moved from Chicago 2 years ago I gave them my move in date and they said it would be 10 days before everything arrived in Phoenix and gave me the exact date. I would have to sleep on the floor for a few days as I would be there in 8 days. 3 days later the driver calls and says he is at my address and nobody is answering the door. LOL I told him I was in Chicago and move in date was 5 days away. He mumbled something and then said "Oh yea, I see that now". Turns out he had a move cancelled and went directly to Phoenix without anyone telling me. So my stuff sat in a warehouse til my move in date and then took 3 more days to find a driver and crew to deliver it to my apartment.

My internet at home has been constantly going in and out for the last month or so. Internet provider, as usual, says that there are no problems in our area and that it must be our equipment. I finally had enough and two weeks ago a tech showed up to install one of their “superior” modems. It worked for less than two hours and was back to crashing. Now I am patiently waiting for them to show up within their two hour window and give me more excuses. This happened around three or four years ago and the only thing that finally fixed the problem was them replacing the cable from the main line to my house. Worked flawlessly after that. Unfortunately they are the only provider for high speed internet in town.

Had that happen too, once.  We had car trouble and we’re delayed a day.  They came on the right day, but I had called immediately to move it to a few days later which was agreed upon.  They never showed back up.  We were without our stuff for 7 weeks until they got off their butts and delivered it.  And a bunch of it was missing.

That sucks. The long delay would be bad enough but to be missing items on top of that would be a kick in the teeth.

Some dickbag got my card info earlier in the week and I had to cancel my debit card. Got my new one in just waiting for them to refund my 400 bucks they got from me. I wish I could find the guy who did it so I could make him never want to do it again. $400 is nothing I’ve had it worse in the past when I had nearly 2 grand taken by a WOW player. If they let the red necks at em they wouldn’t do it again it would be like casino only the redneck way

Is it Spectrum by chance? If it is, their modems and routers are junk. We had a lot of issues until I replaced both with my own gear. Haven't had a slowdown or outage since.

Nope, Mediacom. Had a tech and a guy with a bucket truck show up yesterday afternoon. They about an hour outside and completely redid the cable from the main line to my house. Everything has been perfect since. It just really frustrates me when they think that their equipment is superior and they pretty much refuse to believe that there could be anything wrong  with the cable outside. I’ll bet it didn’t take them three minutes to find the problem once they took a look at the cable coming from the main line.

We have Comcast/Infinity and had problems.  We went to Best Buy bought our own equipment, installed it myself and have been a lot happier.

Movers finally got our stuff loaded up.  I was helping because they needed it.  Heat index was 106.

They scratched the living daylights out of the floor.

Smashed the heck out of my hand in a door jam. Left index finger is pretty swollen, hope it calms down by Wednesday.

Ripped off some trim.

they kept leaving the door open so it was like 90 in the house, one of them fell out and hit the deck hard.  Hope he is ok.

Not doing this 💩 again.  Last move.

That’s what we said when we moved to FL.  Our move similar to yours was a disaster.  A lot of furniture never showed up and a lot of breakage/damage.  IF we ever move again it’s turnkey not going thru movers again.

I work for a furniture restorer. Half of our work is insurance jobs related to moving companies...lol.

There are reputable moving / logistics companies out there, but they aren't cheap. I hope you had your stuff insured?

Yeah. There is some sort of insurance on it. I actually wouldn’t care if if all ended up strewn across Interstate 80 so I can get a full claim.  Most of it is kids toys.  Only on thing I really care about in there.

Last year. I apparently went out to dinner somewhere in Iraq.  $165 tab.  Don’t remember a thing, and as far as I know, I have never left North America.  Must have been some really good drugs…

I don't know where to start. But trying to get home from Kansas City on DELTA Airlines was and still continues to be a nightmare.

1) 4pm flight on Friday canceled when I got to the airport.

2) Next available flight Saturday 5:30 pm. Flight came in delayed.

3) Got on the flight, checked the track my bags section of the app and my bags were not loaded. Could have just been a glitch right? After all it was sky priority tagged.

4) Flight got into Chicago on time but then had to wait before the plane could pull into a gate.

5) Got off the plane and had 4 minutes before they closed the door of my flight to TN.

6) I actually had to run, not walk fast, run 20 gates. Got on with seconds to spare, last one on the plane.

7) I find someone sitting in my seat with the same seat number on their ticket. WTF. Got the flight attendants to straighten out everything. They had to shuffle people around. But finially on my way.

😎 why does the number eight turn into a dam smiley face. I'm not smiling. Got into TN at midnight only to find no luggage. Most importantly no golf clubs. Needless to say I've been pissed for 7 hours straight at this point.

9) Go to baggage claim and they said one was on the plane. Here it comes. Oh great just my suitcase with dirty laundry.

10) Filed a claim and they said it was in route to Seattle, then to Atlanta, then to TN. So my scheduled round of golf this morning with other Dads for Fathers Day, I was a no show.

11) Got a call from Delta this morning and said someone tagged the clubs as Mr Johnsons. Who the heck is he. I got several tags on the Club Glove with my name on it, sky priority tags and such.

12) Just got a notice that the driver was on his way to bring my clubs to my house. Should be here in two hours. Let's hope they are mine! There will be hell to pay if they aren't.

Missed my birthday with the family, almost gave myself a heart attack running 20 gates. Had a screaming baby behind me from Detroit to Knoxville. Then had 1-1/2 hour drive home. Wake up to find out my son got food poisioning and didn't mow the lawn. Just spent 3 hours on fathers day mowing.

PLEASE BE THE CORRECT CLUBS!

I'm sorry to hear you've been through the ringer trying to get back home. With all that happened, I'm glad you made it back in one piece. I hope your son gets to feeling better soon, food poisoning ain't no joke. I also hope your clubs arrive safely, at least that would be one good thing to come out of that mess.

Glad you finally got your clubs, but sad that your Father's Day wasn't what you had hoped.

A few years ago on our annual trip to somewhere warm in January (Phoenix that time), I went to Delta baggage claim to pick up luggage and clubs; wife's clubs... then "mine" in Club Glove cover.  We walked to the rental car bus stop and while waiting at the stop, I noticed someone else's name on the bag.  Hoofed it back to Delta baggage claim.  Apparently, that someone grabbed my bag.  Delta called the cell phone of the owner (who was at his hotel); he drove to the airport and returned my bag and got his, but I wasted 2 hours at the airport when we could have played that afternoon.

I thought about checking if his clubs were better than mine, but I also had clothes in my bag that I needed.

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

I had to have a tooth pulled yesterday. I had an abscess on a tooth that already had a root canal & crown, so I didn't see the point in going back through a reconstruction of that, probably not much tooth left to save anyways. Plus it was a 3 week wait and quite a bit more money to redo the root canal than to just have it pulled. I'm a bit sore and swollen today but feeling better and the pain is no where near what it was the last few days. Unfortunately I was also told to take the next 3 days off activity which means I also had to turn down an invite from @RollingGreens to play at his club on Saturday morning. Always stinks missing an opportunity to play a really nice course. Hopefully I'm feeling ok and I can give it a go on Sunday afternoon.
