Josh Ross
I was so excited to get my new irons in today, Srixon was wicked fast with my custom order and got them here in less than a week! But, they showed up so wrong that they're not even usable for me. Now I'm hearing that my shaft, which we called and verified was available before placing the order, may be backordered for a few months... Ugh. It's my first time doing business with Srixon and the first impression isn't great. I understand everyone makes mistakes though, just hoping they're able to make it right somehow instead of me waiting months. Is it in this thread somewhere? I'd be interested in reading up on it. If I'm being honest there were more issues than just the shafts but I noticed them right away and hadn't even unpacked the clubs. When I did, I noticed the shafts were covered in filth, they forgot to adjust the loft on three of the clubs, there was a small dent/ding (like bag chatter causes) on one of the irons, and they were packaged so poorly that I'm surprised they made it safely. With Mizuno I'm used to the foam pieces that the heads fit into and then something holding the shafts and grips in place too. This was just irons thrown into a box with something a little thicker than newspaper on each end of the box. I probably wouldn't even care if the order was right but now I'm nitpicking, haha. tommc23, Kenny B, MattF and 1 other 3 1 Quote In my Lux XV Cart Bag: Driver: RADSPEED XB PTC 10.5° Fujikura Speeder Evolution 661 VII Stiff Utility: Apex UW 17° and 19° Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 70 6.0 4 Hybrid: KING LTDx 21° KBS PGI 85 Stiff Irons: ZX5/ZX7 Project X LZ 6.0 Wedges: 2.0 49°, 53°, 57° Project X LZ 6.0 Putter: L.A.B. Popular Post sirchunksalot
I'm starting to feel better after a couple of days dealing with Covid. My fever is gone, not as congested, and I'm finally able to breathe out of both nostrils. Right now the only bad things are, I can't taste anything and I think I'm dealing with Nyquil hangover cause I'm a little off balance when I stand up sometimes. The bad thing is, the whole house is dealing with it and they're a day behind on symptoms from where I'm at. My wife is pretty beat right now and is trying to get some rest. Here's to hoping they get it right this time around. Ugh, Srixon is killing me. They emailed to say they ran out of my grips, putting the last ones they had on my other irons. I've played the same grip my entire life and anything else feels foreign. Whatever, I'll take something different and deal with it. (Tour Velvet Full Cord are impossible to find right now). My other clubs could all use new grips so I went ahead and ordered more Z Grip Cords to match the new irons. After that I get an email saying they found more of my grip so they are putting them on! Good news, I'll cancel my order for the new grips. Then comes another email that they forgot to add the special instructions (logo down, two extra wraps under the bottom hand) to the work order so they were installed standard. The logo down isn't a big deal but grips feel tiny when tapered and I need those two extra wraps. So now they're removing the grips I want, hopefully without damage, and putting them on correctly. A higher up is now involved and is holding their hand throughout the process so I'm hoping they show up correct. The person I order through says Srixon is usually their best when it comes to order accuracy, guess they hired some new people and are working out the kinks. Hopefully the performance is so good I forget about the troubles I had getting them, haha. sirchunksalot, tony@CIC and MattF 3 Quote In my Lux XV Cart Bag: Driver: RADSPEED XB PTC 10.5° Fujikura Speeder Evolution 661 VII Stiff Utility: Apex UW 17° and 19° Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 70 6.0 4 Hybrid: KING LTDx 21° KBS PGI 85 Stiff Irons: ZX5/ZX7 Project X LZ 6.0 Wedges: 2.0 49°, 53°, 57° Project X LZ 6.0 Putter: L.A.B. She was also very kind and thoughtful and I'm thankful that she accepted me into her family and trusted me to care for her daughter. I'll miss her. Condolences to the family. Not easy, didn’t realize she was struggling that badly. Hope the family can grieve and in time remember all the good times. sirchunksalot 1 Quote Check out my reviews: G710 Irons Official Review I MC Shaft & V Series Putter Official Review 2022 Forged Tec's Official Review I Nitron Push Cart Official Review WITB: Weapons of grass destruction (link to WITB) Traverse is filled with all this shiny metal and tracked by RadSpeed 8* - MotoreX F1 6X SIM 3W - Project X HZRDUS Green U505 Driving Iron 17* - Project X HZRDUS Black SpeedZone 4H - Project X HZRDUS Black 2022 King Forged Tec's 4-PW - KBS $ Tape 130 48 (SM8), 52 & 60 (SM7) - Nippon Modus 125 S ER2VI PROV1X #19 Are you a veteran? While we're thankful for the time we had with her this last year after her battle with MRSA, her heart problems, and Covid, we just wish we had more. My wife and sister-in-law are both lost and grieving right now because there's not many greater pains than losing mom. She was one of the toughest people I've ever know, she's dealt with severe health problems in the entire 15 years I've know her. She was also very kind and thoughtful and I'm thankful that she accepted me into her family and trusted me to care for her daughter. I'll miss her. Sorry for your family’s loss. It’s not easy to lose a parent especially as close as you & wife were.
