Got Problems?

Sorry to hear that Rick.  90 is not bad.  My wife's family  "sell by" date for heart attacks is 67 years old.  They had good hearts, just not strong hearts.  She just turned 64.

90 is a good run and she started downhill about a year ago.
Hope you’re wife doesn’t have any problems. The health monitoring is getting better every day.

She is the only one in a family of 9 (mom, dad, 5 older brothers and an older sister) that didn't smoke.  Her sister passed away a year ago at 67.  She still has two brothers; one is 71 with 4 stents and the other is 70 with 8 stents and pacemaker/defibrillator.  They are skewing the curve.  All other siblings and mom and dad passed away before 67.

Good thing she didn’t smoke, definitely makes a difference.

While I was out on my daily walk today I got a call from one of my fraternity brothers to let me know that one of our brothers is going to unfortunately lose a six year battle with cancer. This one hit me hard as he was a pledge when I was the pledge class Dad and he really is a great young man. Spent the last three miles of my walk with tears thinking about this world losing such a good husband and father. Life happens and I only got to see him once a year the last few years at our alumni softball game and he always made a point of spending time with my family. I won’t miss his jokes on asking if I needed a senior bat the last few years.

Thanks.

Intensive Anti B's prescribed as it developed into more than flu. Feeling much better now thanks, except weak as a kitten for awhile. Hoping to try and have a few holes on Christmas eve to remember what its like to follow a wee white ball around a muddy field in the cold😂

So you're saying I've got a chance at beating you on the course right now?  Asking for a friend.  (hope you get better soon)

Significant YIPS this year. Just got back into it after hanging up the clubs since July. Hopefully it helps so I can go into 2020 strong.

Had this happen a month ago. Driver absolutely disappeared, big banana slice was back, topping the ball/hosel-rockets---the club felt like a slimy fish in my hands.  Switched back to my G400, and went back to pre-swing change grip for a few swings and slowly went back to post-swing change: have played some of the best golf since the summer.  Hit 50% fairways with the big dog for the first time ever and missed 3 others by less than 10 yards.  Managed to hit an absolute bomb and set a new PB for a drive on a hole in the middle of winter.   All of this to say, the light is there, you'll get your swing back.

Every panel swirled to death like this one. 4 hours of buffing to correct it.

If you ever buy an expensive car so yourself a favor and request that they don't wash it before you take delivery. Drive it straight to your detailer and get it fixed and protected.

Yikes.  Knowing the TLC you put into your car from the 'gram, that hurts.

I’ll be tied up for the next week.

I still owe you guys some stuff on the Blueprints. What I’m currently dealing with at work has occupied almost every day of the week since December 1.

Was expecting to be done today, only to run into a bigger, more problematic issue. I can’t defeat this dang thing yet.

Nearly there, so for now, please accept my apology for slacking lately.

Home today with a sick kiddo. RSV is not fun, and when she’s 2 years old all you can really do is watch Elmo, give some snuggles and browse the forum for some decent content when she naps.

It stinks that she’s ill but I absolutely love this time with her.

She’s such a trooper. Barking cough and all, she can’t help to narrate the Elmo episode for me.

3 of my least favorite things on a golf course.

1. Music
2. Inconsiderate People
3. Slow Play

All happening right now... come on people

... Fwiw I always preferred no music while playing golf, but I have changed my opinion in the last few years and now enjoy it as long as it is played at a low level so I can converse with my partners or hear all nature has to offer. That said, it has to be music I like which isn't always easy with a 4 some. No rap or country please. 😳And certainly not loud. Like many, having to hear very loud music that I really don't like from another green, tee or fairway can be very annoying. Interestingly it is usually country music that is played way too loud here in Chicago. And I am always happy to have no music playing if any if my partners would rather not hear it. I walk so I have a small JBL speaker on my remote cart that is not audible from the green, unless my partners ask me to turn it up, which happens more often that I would have thought. And even then I have to turn my cart so the speaker is facing the green because turned away it is inaudible, even at a moderate level.

... But I hear ya Shankster, loud bad or unwelcome music combined with inconsiderate people and slow play is far from an ideal day on the course.
