Got Problems?

I have had to fix the Samsung washer and dryer so much, I feel like I'm an expert at this point. The cheap plastic parts make the most difference. The old Maytag we had from 1977 had steel and metal parts that would last a lifetime, and were designed to do so. The cheap plastic parts today are designed to fail so the average family has to replace the machine every 8 years.

Everyone here is correct appliances are not made as well as they were decades ago. There was actual American craftsmanship for the products to last your lifetime. Everyone when they replaced your frig the old one went into the garage (to run another 10 years) or your 25 year old washer/dryer went to their kids when they got their first house.

Having been on the electronic component industry, I call tell you that the 'white goods' industry (appliances) demands the cheapest electronic components. $$ are much more important to them than quality.

Still boring. I don't understand skating. Subjective scoring is not right to me. I want who scored more points, across finish line first, fastest, more runs, etc.

Great vehicles. I own one, my mom too. I used to be a parts and service manager at a Subaru dealer. Many repeat customers, and relatively low maintenance costs.

My kids were saying the same thing last night.  My younger daughter said "we came to watch an hour of the Olympics before bed and saw 45 minutes of Tide, Toyota and Pepsi ads instead", in her best P!nk voice.  

 

They decided they would watch the on-demand events after they have concluded on the NBC Sports app.  I'm not sure that's going to be any better for them.  We are definitely spoiled to the streaming services.

I'm a firm believer that dogs/pets should be under control and trained. I also think there aren't bad dogs just bad owners. I know that's a generalization but I like dogs, sometimes more than people

I have a corner lot and I can't tell you how many times I check on the other side of my lot (the side that isn't in front of my house) to find owners who think because that isn't the front of my house, they can leave their dog presents for me to find. Especially frustrating when I'm cutting the lawn. I know have to pre-check the yard to make sure I clean up after those owners or risk getting that caught all up in my lawn mower.

My son has just gotten over this “influenza” thing that's going around. He was out for over a week. Feel better. Rest the best you can. Hopefully it's just a cold and nothing more.
