Ouch! The one in my home is the original one from 1998 when the house was built so I'm hoping it goes for another year. At that point I'll replace it with maybe a tankless system and a new hvac system too. Hope it didn't cause too much damage!

MDGolfHacker

One thing about tankless is if two people are showering or one in the shower and dishwasher/washing machine is running, the pressure isn't very good. But I want to have a tankless when I build my house in a couple years

Well it's better than my last Friday night. Went to bed around 11:30 or so. Heard a sound.. hot water tank went out. Agh

Well, mine went out last year.  It's in room in the garage.  Went out to the garage and noticed water all the way out to the driveway.  I have no idea how old it was; it was there when I bought the house 13 years ago.

Good to know.  I hadn't looked into it more than the basics of the operations.  I just figured it would run hotter with a higher flow demand...lol...  There are times when we run the dish washer, washing machine and the showers at the same time. I wonder if they have ever put in two of those tankless heaters....split the load so to speak....

Well, today is a double rant for me....

1.  Had to buy new tires since one developed a bubble on the sidewall.  I've never seen that before especially in this day and age.

2.  I apparently su*k at gardening.  I planted 5 leyland cypress trees on the side of my property two years ago.  With the Nor-easter blowing sustained winds between 35-50mph, 1 tree totally uprooted, and the other trees are now tilted at 45*...I guess I didn't bury them deep enough.  Looks like my honey do list just got bigger....lol.

So getting stuck at work and being the only senior exec on site has been fun. Entire county lost power and we are running at 50% off of generators.  Going to be a really fun night for me.

There's a house on my street that looks like they're constantly playing "Rush Hour" with the family cars. They have a 2 car garage they don't use Then they have 4 cars (2 SUVs) in the driveway and another 1-2 that have to use the auxiliary parking rotating in/out. That would absolutely drive me nutty if I was running late for work and blocked in.

I have found the optimal configuration for us that requires no moving of multiple cars, but it requires me to do a slalom course in reverse to get out. It also requires everyone to do there part when they park and get to near the same spot reliably. Our driveway is strange - 2 cars wide at the house, 1 car wide at the street and at about a 70-80 degree angle.

Don't know if anyone else has ever put new carpet down in a vehicle, but I just finished a 6 1/2 hour nightmare. It went in a Tahoe and came in two pieces with NO holes or cutouts. Everything and I mean everything has to come out, seats, console, every little and big piece of trim and molding. An endless amount of screws, bolts, and nuts. But I stuck with it and I'll NEVER do that again!!! BTW I did it all by my self.

I can't even read some threads because I'd just get jealous of people being able to play. The how'd you play thread or are you golfing today. You lucky people that can golf stop rubbing it in lol... mother nature is a mess 60 degrees last week snow the day after and now more snow tomorrow. Honestly guys enjoy your ability to golf all year long and I hope you can sense my sarcasm.

A decent Greenskeeper should be able to get the course back into decent shape once Spring comes around. I would walk our course in CT in early March and think that I would be playing in a mud hole forever. But the Greenskeeper did his magic and had the place decent quickly.

A good Greenskeeper is priceless!

Minor rant, at a work meeting this week, which actually involves more golf than meeting...but that's not the rant.

Just that the long days have taken away from my online/MGS time, I keep having the fear i'm missing something great going on here.

Will try and stay updated as much as possible.   So far the past two days of golf have been filled with Cool weather, stronger than normal winds, and definitely early season rust in the swing.

Maybe today will be better.... :D

I feel ya.  More to come this week too.  Mother nature can't make up her mind if it's spring, summer or winter.  I've seen flocks of geese crashing into each other in the sky because they keep on changing directions to head south then north then south again...ha ha ha..

"Work Meeting"....I remember when we had our "Work Meetings"....ha ha ha....

MDGolfHacker

yeah, but this one actually has a good 6 or 7 hours of work wrapped around 3 rounds of golf....LOL

I should add just to be clear, two of the three rounds were "add on" rounds and were not officially part of the work.   So it's in reaity, 1.5 days of meeting/dinners 1 day of company golf and two add on days of golf (possibly 3 add on) if I really wanted to play Thursday on the way home...ha
