cnosil
The E2.2 looks incredible. They are all nice. Had the opportunity to put with them last week. The one with the ball offset is interesting as well as it’s counterpart (shown in the bag picture; has all the sight lines). Glad I got to have Guerin explain the intent and what it is designed to do; otherwise I would have had the same reaction as on the other forum. This is part of the reason I haven’t bought one, better stuff comes out each year. Probably going to end up with the 8.3. tommc23 and null 2 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: TS3 15* w/Project X Hzardous Smoke Hybrids: 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 54/12D, 60/8M w/:Accra iWedge 90 Graphite Putter: TM-180 Testing: Backups: Milled Collection RSX 2, mFGP2, Futura 5W Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017

cnosil
If you can, I'd really be interested in hearing your summary of his explanation of that offset putter.I didn’t post much after I saw the putters because I didn’t want to say anything I shouldn’t. After seeing the pictures on another forum I think it is okay to talk about them a little. Hopefully I explain this correctly and it isn’t just my incorrect recollection There are two models of the big offset slant neck. One was cast and had more offset and was partially considered a training aid, the other a milled version with a little less offset. When setting up to the ball you align the back of the ball with the front of the shaft which will position the putter face about 2 inches behind the ball. This helps shorten the backswing, improve the forward swing, and help get the putter square to the target line at impact. Ultimately teaching a better overall stroke (shorter backswing, longer follow through) Wasn’t that hard to get used to and I did roll the ball well. I think it is largely about perception and how you responding to what you are seeing. You just seem to hold the putter square to the path for a bit longer. When he was helping me with my stroke one of the drills he had me do was setup to the ball and move the putter back about an inch behind the ball, sort of simulating what this putter does but this putter has the shaft in your “normal” setup without impacting ball position or shaft angle. Another was to have the sightline on my putter pass over a spot immediately in front of the ball, to keep the face moving down the target line for a split second longer. Hope that makes sense and is accurate MaxEntropy, cksurfdude, GolfSpy MPR and 1 other 4 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: TS3 15* w/Project X Hzardous Smoke Hybrids: 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 54/12D, 60/8M w/:Accra iWedge 90 Graphite Putter: TM-180 Testing: Backups: Milled Collection RSX 2, mFGP2, Futura 5W Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017

I would speculate that having that much offset would also encourage an upward angle of attack on the ball. With that much offset, it would seem very hard to allow the hands to pass the ball and continue moving downward into impact. Does that make sense? With that much offset, it would seem very hard to allow the hands to pass the ball and continue moving downward into impact. Does that make sense? Not sure I agree with angle of attack aspect. Ball position and stroke will influence that more than offset. Ball back in stance will generally be more descending and forward will be more ascending. What you are taking about us more about loft. Hands forward decrease loft and hands back add loft. This can be influence by setup and eye dominance as well. We talked about how right eyed dominant players have a tendency to point the shaft right and add loft and left eye dominant tend to lean the shaft forward and deloft. Deloft may make you hit the ball into the ground because you don’t have enough loft to lift the ball out of its depression. All part of the stroke dynamics of a player and why knowing these particulars helps you find the right putter.
