Hideki Matsuyama Is Cool

Recommended Posts

Yeah, so Tiger-san shot a 65.  Matsuyama is your leader, and here's what he did after sinking a putt for eagle...

Gotta treat the weapons with respect!

Agree, seems like a nice guy.

We sell parts to a company, that sponsors his caddy.

Interesting how the PGA's twitter uses a GIF from a different tournament. That is his normal caddy who is definitely NOT on his bag this week.

Don't bet against him in the majors this year. His game is becoming downright nasty good.

I agree. I watched him I'm the World Cup and really enjoyed it. He's going to be very interesting to watch at the majors, especially Augusta.

I pick my favorite players from different parts of the world. For a couple seasons, he has been my favorite from Asia. Except maybe for the Korean woman I may or may not have a crush on, lol.

Hideki is awesome!!  I'd love to see the guy win a Major this year and I think he's trending that direction if he can stay healthy and keep the momentum in his corner.

Wow, his game is pretty sharp! I'll have to catch up on his first few rounds since I've been sans Internet/TV, but to be 7 shots ahead means he's been playing some phenomenal golf, especially against Dr and Co.

April is a long way off. I like Matsuyama, love his swing, but he may be peaking at the wrong time. That being said, I would be excited to see him win a major and highlight some of the Japanese golf scene in the process.

Winning a Major on US Territory is tough. Hideki has the game but it will be interesting how he handles the crowds and media pressure if he is in the mix come the weekend battling for a Major victory. Has he peaked..? At his age probably not as he will get better with more experience on the Tour.

I love his swing, great ball striker.  I went out and bought a Pelz Putting Tutor after seeing him use it and started winning nearly every tournament he played in the last month.

Another option to the puttin tutor is to use a dime. Put it about 16" in front of your ball and using different stroke lengths roll the ball over the dime. With the pelZ Tutor and the dime it is about starting line and not making putts. No need for a hole. Until you can start a ball online making putts is kind of meaningless. If I remember correctly if you place the dime at 20" and miss it you would miss a 10 foot putt.

Anyone have "The Pill"? www.thepillgolf.com Saw GolfSpyX wearing their hat during the video interview the other day. I'm a fan!
