So, these are the new conforming grooves, eh?

 

A couple of thoughts:

 

I wonder how the cavity will effect the feel compared to the CG15's.

 

The sole looks a little wider than the CG15. Are these more geared towards game improvement?

These look akin to the MX series wedges Mizuno released in Japan. Cool.

I like the look of them, don't see much difference from the CG15s, but I assume these are conforming.

I do not like the cg 16 wedge. I think in an effort to look like they are coming out with a new improved product, they have had to morph a great wedge into something that I think looks worse then any other wedge on the market. I will stick with my old cleveland for as long as I can. I wish the PGA would have not changed the wedge rules.

They look to me to be a replacement for the CG14 wedges. Cleveland seem to have a players wedge and a GI wedge series now. Not a bad idea IMO, should fit more people.

CG16 will basically be a 588 head at address with a cavity underneath. It will most likely be the most popular Cleveland wedge on the PGA Tour as it is replacing the Cg14, which was very popular with Cleveland and non-Cleveland staffers

Nice that they have lost the triangle in the GI wedge offering.

Nice too that I ordered two CG14's today before seeing this post

I really can't wait for these to come out. I keep looking at them and want to put them in the bag. I know there GI but I bet they will play excellent.

not a fan of any cavity back wedge at all it is minimal though but not a fan
