My wife decided to use her photography skills to help shelter dogs. Several dogs & cats have already found homes as a result of her efforts. Today we went back to the shelter to take pics of three more needing a good home.

 

Here is a pic of peaches who is a pit bull terrier. I'm in the pen with her and she was sweet as peaches and hopefully she'll find a new home soon.

My wife does all the work.  All I do is act my goofy old self and the dogs seem to take to me.  She calls me the dog whisperer.

She's a sweet heart! She laid her head on my lap and was so  quiet and gentle.

You could tell Peaches was abused as she has several scars all over her body.  She was apparently in a fighting ring at one time.

 

 

It makes me sad and very angry some sob would treat animals this way!

It's tough making friends with them at the shelter and then leaving them behind.

Every year the local Humane Society runs a food drive for cats & dogs. We buy what food they have suggested on the list for both animals and drop off the bags.

Me too. If I go into an animal shelter, they won't have any animals left when I come out.

I just feel so bad for those poor animals. They can't help it and only want a loving home.

Thanks OG. The black one was tossed out of a car with the rest of her family and found on the side of the road by the foundation I rescued her from.

 

The white one was "purchased" at a puppy mill. I hate those people. The vet scolded us for paying the people and at the same time praised us, if we hadn't of brought her in, she said she only would have made it another week. Infested with all kinds of illness. But now shes about as healthy as they come.

 

I have a soft spot for pups if you can't tell.
