My buddy Lennox that passed a few years ago. He was my doggy before kids and my best buddy for 11 years. This is him doing one of his favorite things...riding in the wind with the top down.

His father was a Black Lab and mother was a Newfie. He was pretty much just a smaller male Newfie at only 150 to 155 lbs.

My late kitty Fluffy (my god-daughter named her) helping me check out some windsurf gear. This was probably close to 10 years ago.

She was originally a stray growing up in a small pack behind my friends' house; she was the only one smart enough to be friendly so she got fed and taken care of.

When they moved out, I was moving in to a new house so my buddy dropped Fluffy off as my housewarming gift! (I took care of her when they traveled.)

I'd not liked cats all that much before Fluffy - had grown up with dogs - but she was great .. an indoor/outdoor type cat with her own kitty door to come and go (which she did like a hundred times a day!).

If she wasn't in when I came home, I'd open the back door and whistle... ... And she's come running back from wherever she was prowling around!

Loved that kitty :) had her for over 15 years (got her when she was about 4).

Fluffy greeting my old Suburban after I came home. Yes: cats can have strange behaviors and for whatever reason she would rub against the car when I returned....

My late Uncle and his last dog, Gus.

My aunt and uncle started out their married life with one Siamese, then added a second, then added their first Golden Retriever. Through the years they had three Golden's, then the Bernie, and a succession of Siamese or Persian or Himalayan cats .. there were always at least two cats + one dog. The funny thing was with each combo of animals there was always one cat who just loved the then current dog!

My niece Carolyn is moving into a new house, so Pricilla is here on vacation.

Himalayan? Looks like she's right at home (ie. sitting right where you don't want her to!)

Brady, gone a few years now, with two of his buddies. You can't see much of Kung Fu Panda in the pic, but the dog would take it *everywhere* with him .. when I took Brady to get cremated his best friend went with him, too.......

The Black Lab is Scout, we adopted him two summers ago when he was 6; the other guy is Jax, he's a Flat-Coated Retriever we got as a puppy from a breeder in PA.
