BluBear is recovering well and has X rays today to make sure the implant has healed well. If all is ok he will be back home with us at the weekend

Thanks, all. She is doing great and gets better everyday. She already has the treats and comfortable bed figured out.

That is just too cute! It's amazing how strong the bond is between animals and I hope Cookie gets in lots of cuddle time when BluBear gets home.

I’m sure she won’t leave him alone once he’s back.

She won’t actually get in his bed, she just lies against it with her head in it

That's so cute!! My aunt and uncle always had animals - one large dog and two to four cats. Out of all the different cats there was always one that just loved loved loved the then current dog. Very cute and very hilarious!!

Well, She Who Must Hunt caught opossum #4 a few minutes ago. I saw the light up collar go up in the air, saw the opossum in her mouth and yelled at her to drop it. She did and it hissed like crazy -- the other three times they just immediately went into "play dead" mode. I separated the two of them and when I turned my back I heard the opossum clanking through the chain link fence making its escape. After SWMH finished her business and final tour of the yard I ran the flashlight over the top of the fence. This is what I saw.

I hear ya. That time of year. Callie my lab ran out after supper tonight and I hit 2 little eyes in the flashlight beam. Figured it was cat or bunny. Nope, Jed's fair game. She charged and I yelled and some how she heard me and stopped about 2 feet short to sniff. That critter just curled up and hissed. Started to rain so we headed in.

It's amazing how they can come out of the deepest of sleeps when there's food involved.
