I'll get half of 80 next week. Hopefully this is the last snow we get this year. It's going on 7 months of just crap weather.

I agree! Normally, we are consistently well into the 60's by mid March at the latest. Couple that with the fact we got our first snowfall a week-and-a-half prior to Thanksgiving, it makes for a mighty long winter for us. We normally don't see temperatures consistently cold enough to produce snow until mid December.

 

This year it seems winter arrived 6-weeks early and stayed 6-weeks late. I hope it's an anomaly!

Well contrary to what the experts on global warming or climate change or whatever it's called now, the earth is entering a cooling period that'll last a while

I'm in Twin Cities, MN.  Was watching the weather this morning getting storm updates and they showed the temp graphic for so far this April.  It's official the coldest April on record ever.  We are averaging over 18 degree below average temp so far.

I'm sitting here drinking a beer with the air conditioner on watching the Mitsubishi Electric Champions tournament.  80 degrees in Georgia today and I really feel for you guys up north. That just ain't right!

Here in North Central Iowa we were expecting a 6-12" blizzard today.  At 8am I looked out the window and could barely see across the street.  Was that way until shortly after noon.  Hopefully it is over as we only got 2-3".  Winter sucks and can go away anytime now.  I wanna GOLF!

Been pissing rain for the better part of 3 weeks.. I know it's seattle.. but just give me overcast , God forbid partly sunny. I got a new putter grip to try out and the Arccos system to play with..

We dodged the bullet - the snow ended up north of us. On the other hand we had a downpour with 40* temps and plus 25+ mph and more to come tomorrow.

I hope this junk moves north of us. Supposed to flood on top of the 2+ feet of snow. Then warm up to the 40's by Thursday... I live 80 yards from a river! I figure I have 8' of rise before I'll have any problems.

 

Hopefully this system moves out above Lake Superior.

 

Very strange that our wind is coming from the NE, and the storm is moving in from the SW. Warm wet air meets cold Canada air... and makes for a nasty combo.

Interesting weather pattern. In the winter our winds are WNW brining chilly weather and especially when it comes across the western end of Lake Erie where we live. In the spring - if you want to call what we have now as spring, the prevailing winds are from the NE. Coming down the longitudinal axis of the lake. That means high winds barreling down 200+ miles of 40* water.

We get 150 miles of Lake Superior for the wind to pick up a nice chill. I've had enough! Luckily we leave in June 2019, so I'll only have to suffer through one more winter.

Considering that the last few posts have been all doom, gloom, ice, snow & hail, I'll try and even the odds.

 

The temperature was ~42 degrees Celsius, with almost no cloud cover, and winds of 20mph+. Just think of Death Valley but with a lot more greenery!
