More rain for the next two weeks straight... UGGGGGGH! We have had SO much rain that even the country clubs have been closed! I can’t even get outside to swing into my net! It’s beyond ridiculous as far as the amount of rain we’ve had, and it’s killing me not to be able to at LEAST go to the range! Good gracious. So tired of it!

Finally getting out to play tomorrow before winter comes back on Sunday. It'll be about 55 and cloudy but 30ish and rainy Sunday.
Fingers crossed I break neither me or thy clubs for the rust build up.
Need to get some of that Johnny Bench spray paint I guess lol
Some will remember him

It was dry this morning- bit cold but no wind so decided to go and join the roll up at noon.

Layered up, one last look at the total cloud cover to the horizon and it didnt look too bad.

Packed my stuff in the car and as I did so it started to lightly rain........decided not to risk it.

within an hour we had a 4 hour storm with heavy rain and strong winds.

For once I made a good call. 😄

Rainy Saturday in SoCal. I played 9 yesterday after work figuring the weekend would be rained out. If it clears up for a bit I’ll try to hit the range.

Man... Snow in the Pacific NW. Rain in the SE and Texas. Cold in the NE. I guess AZ and FL are the only decent locations right now.
Houston had 2 days of sunshine, 23 days of no sunshine, 20 days of fog and January only had 9 days of sun. This... Sucks.

I probably should have played 9 but it was threatening rain so I just went to the range. It still hasn’t rained but that could start at any time. Maybe next weekend.

As a meteorologist in Fort Wayne, I can say that it's looking up for March. I've been targeting mid march or so for the onset of spring. May take a week or two for it to fully kick in but I'm really hoping this is the last blast of winter.

My car said it was 5 on the way in this morning. Either way, too cold for March.

It better start warming in a hurry, our golf league is supposed to officially start April 16, but the tee time is ours starting April 2.

Similar here in central IN.  Around the single digits with a high in the teens.  Supposed to be high 40s over weekend, but chance for rain and the snow needs to melt so still no golf for a few more weeks.

Central IN guy here as well.
Isn’t it nice to see that the snow melted just in time for more snow tomorrow?

I thought Spring started already? At least it’s staying lighter longer...

Snow isn't the only problem. Just checked in with the NWS in northern Indiana. Frost level is 6 inches deep. That'll take a little while to get out. I'm sure you can play on a little frost, but six inches probably needs a week of dry warm weather to get out of the soil.

We miss the snow today but we will be socked by rain on Saturday.

Nice to find another guy in Indy, I'm just outside in Fishers.  I'm hoping this can be the last hurrah and the snow fall is over for the year.  I seriously doubt that will happen, but let's hope.

I get to go to Atlanta next week for work so I'm hoping to sneak in 9 holes.

We average 43 inches of rainfall per year.  We've had 22 inches since September 9th!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the 9th fairway at my home club taken at about 6PM last night.  The stream banks are less than 8 feet wide and the normal stream volume is less than 4 inches deep.  The bridge can be seen in the middle of the picture.  In my 12 years as a member, I've never seen this stream outside its banks!

BRCC.jpg

Yesterday afternoon, my daughter and I got out for the first time in 2019.  The section of my home club pictured above from September is still in very bad shape.  The creek has receded back into it's banks but the ground water is 8 inches above ground in many places.  Holes 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 9 are still unplayable.

We have received 18 months average rainfall since September 9th, and it's still raining!

We've been hit with a ton of rain here too, but not quite that bad.  I hope the course can recover in time for spring/summer!

We still have snow on the ground here in E. Washington.  It was 19º this morning, but the forecast shows temps warming up into the 40's over the next week.  Maybe courses will start opening by the first day of Spring.  I've had enough winter.
