The storm hit us last night, but it was below freezing so it started out as freezing rain, then turned to sleet about 5am, then snow at 7am. It's a white-out now with the wind blowing. Here's a picture of the local airport tarmac behind my wife's business 5 minutes ago. The piles of snow are from the airport plows trying to keep the tarmac clear. I guess technically it's still winter, but this is ridiculous for our area where we are used to playing golf all winter long most years. We are in the same boat and it's creeping closer to the patio door. Had to put my pool pump out there and try to move it away from the house. An inch of rain on top of 2' of snow pack and drifts 3-4' high is not a good recipe. On top of that the -30 to -50 week we had was with hardly any snow so the ground is frozen down deep. We will have massive flooding around here in the new few weeks. GB13 1 Quote Driver: SLDR w/ Fujikura Ventus Black 3w: '16 M2 hl w/ Diamana D+ 82 5w: Launcher HB w/ HZRDUS Yellow Hybrid: 22 deg. perseveringgolfer
I really feel for you guys with tons of snow and ice, nice to look at but a PITA to live in especially with spring right around the corner. We have rain and a cold arctic wind the last few days, forecast is MORE rain, MORE wind and continuous lows with tight isobars, Saturday will be the worst day apparently - Typical! It's all due to the jetstream being below the UK, everything above it just pulls in the worst storms from the North. Can someone invent a machine to guide the jetstream where it's required. fozcycle and Kenny B 2 Quote Driver Awaiting NEW Driver (after 10 yrs) 4 Wood Callaway Big Bertha Steelhead plus 4+ Callaway shaft in 'Firm' flex Hybrid Titleist 910H 19* Diamana ahina 'flower' shaft in 'S' Irons Mizuno MP18SC 4-PW N.S Pro Modus3 Tour 105 in 'S' Wedges Callaway Mack Daddy forged in black 50* and 54* KBS Tour in 'R' Putter 'YES' Tracy 11 C groove 34.5"

GolfSpy_BNG
Lots of rain the last few days with more expected through the weekend. The good news is I know spring isn't far off as I now see grass. The bad news is lots of flooding. In basements, over roads, and out of the river banks has been causing a lot of damaged. So far we have been lucky with no water in the basement of our house but I won't sleep easy until all the snow has melted and the rain has stopped.
