First day (morning) for this year's Men's League. It's overcast 39*. Supposed to warm up...maybe!

Go get 'em Tiger!  It's 60º here at 6am, maybe a sprinkle or two, with a high today of 72º.  No Men's or Women's leagues approved for play yet.

In almost 46 trips around the sun, I can honesty say I’ve never seen snow in May.........until now!

Snow here yesterday (it didn't stick around) and the forcast is for snow flurries here again tomorrow. Not that unusual for us in May, but it has been cooler that usual. Once again, its not expected to stick around but between the rain and snow driving ranges are too wet to open and we are still waiting for word on courses opening.

I live in southwest Virginia, about 10 miles from the North Carolina line.  It's extremely unusual for us.  The snow was gone quicker than it came but the temperatures have been between 30 and 50 for more than a week now.  Again, very unusual for us.  The typical overnight lows for us are generally mid 60's by now.

I envy you your weather. As forcast, I am sitting here looking at it snow as I am typing this. The temperature is slightly above freezing, but the windchill makes it a lot colder. However, it won't last. They are starting to come out with course restrictions and we are hoping to see courses opening next weekend, which is a national holiday here. Long range it looks like the warmer weather should start for us in the next week or so.

The weather is supposed to break here tomorrow.  We are forecast to see a 30* temperature difference between today (46*) and tomorrow (76*).  I mowed my grass yesterday afternoon in a 30 mile per hour wind with the temperature around 50*.  Brutal!

It's been sopping wet here in Indiana since Thursday. Saturday was the only dry day and even then the ground was completely saturated all day. It will probably take until Friday or Saturday of this week before I can play golf again due to the rain.

25* Celsius here today and a frost warning for tomorrow night and possibly Saturday as well. First round of the season is Saturday with a high forecast of 14*C. I know that is cold for some, but is near perfect for me.

Playing Saturday morning where it'll start in the 50s but get into the 70s by afternoon. Sunday we push mid 80s but humidity and storm chances increase. It may be hit or miss all week for golf. Starting to wonder how much of a season we will have now that we've lost about 4 weeks due to weather.

Last week we had a wonderful thunder and lighting show just before dawn.  My wife just sent me a pic she took in the backyard as the sun was starting to come up. Color has NOT been enhanced.  Crazy!!!

We have had a fantastic late spring emery summer. Started spring pretty wet which is normal but has really turned around past 2 weeks and the upcoming week looks great. Got run off the driving range a few minutes yesterday. Pouring rain wasn't bad but since there was thunder and lightning, it was for the best.  Humidity shot to what felt like 1000% as soon as the rain stopped.

This photo was from a gazebo looking out at the 9th hole.

The “tropical storm” is making its way through here today. Nothing but a steady drizzle, normal winds, thankfully. I’m actually sitting on the back porch enjoying the cooler temp, and quietness of the “rain”. This drizzle makes me think of what it must be like to live in England, Scotland, Ireland. Just glad we’re not threatened with flooding!
