Kenny B
Temperatures are back up again for the next few days, hitting 109º on Friday but cooling off a little next week: We had a trace of rain the other day; only a few drops hit the ground, not enough to wet the pavement. However, we did get a rainbow!! The last day we got rain was on June 16... a grand total of 0.1 inch. The time before when we got 0.1 inch was March 26. We need rain!!!!! I'm thinking about putting a gas fire table in the middle for the cool evenings that will hopefully show up one of these days. I don't know how you guys back east deal with the humidity!! The last few days we cooled off to low 90's, but our humidity has been sky high!! This is a desert; we aren't supposed to have humidity. The sun has been blocked by smoke from fires in Oregon, so the temperature is lower but it also keeps the nights very warm. Only cooled off to 81º Saturday night, so Sunday's round at 7:30am started 10 degrees warmer than usual. Humidity was trapped near the ground; humidity was >80%. No clouds, can't see the sun, and I'm dripping wet before we tee off. More sun today and 105º; wish it would rain; cool things off, get rid of the smoke in the air, and help irrigation demands.
