Lol good old Massachusetts! One of the better courses around, gorgeous layout. Is built on an (I think army) base. The back 9 has a few holes built on old shooting ranges so lots of fairway lined bunkers. Couple holes have old watch towers too. Super fun course: https://www.redtailgolf.net/

There is a nice orange tinge in the air and a really fine mist that is falling. It doesn't happen often, but it is really fine sand from the sahara desert that floats in the air and when it gets to the alps and starts raining it causes this really unique look and feel outside... thankfully I park inside else the car would be covered.

We got ash from Mt. St. Helens when it blew in 1980.  It was so dark at noon that the street lights came on.

There are some cool documentaries on the Sahara sand feeding the amazon. Gets carrier over and the minerals get dumped into the forest.  Super wild stuff.

Not playing today.  Nice sunny 63º... wind 30-40 with gusts to 50mph until 8pm tonight.  Found my garbage can down the street... along with everyone else's.

Some thunderboomers rolled through last night and more rain this morning saturating everything.  Highs today and tomorrow should touch 60 so we are trending toward tolerable golf temps no matter how hard the wind i blowing.

Was supposed to play today but I cancelled because of the all day rain forecast. Won't complain because we need the rain and I'm playing on Saturday and Sunday (forecast is 70's with mild winds).

Was nice up here, we had a little dry spell, helped the ground get a little dry after the snow melt. Rain today as well which will be good because we have a nice stretch of weather coming up. Grass is going to be pristine this spring I can feel it......

Yeah I cannot wait for the weather to be consistently in the mid/upper 50's, and a little drier.

Can't catch a break lately. Windy as all heck today in the 40's. Tonight 28 degrees and won't get into the 40's until after 1:00.  It's a conspiracy I tell you. New driver and all I do is get to look at it.

Been mid-60's all weekend, but we've had ferocious winds for the last 48 hours. How ferocious? My American flag was fine Friday night, but when I got up yesterday it was torn to shreds. Will give it a proper burial and prepare for the 80 degree temps scheduled for next week.

Dang....winter made another appearance with 22* temps this morning.  It's too cold to go golfing today so I'll do some inside work this morning and maybe get to some outside stuff this afternoon when it gets above freezing.  Warmer temps are supposed to be back later this week.

The practice green and short game areas are open at least, but it's so soggy that anything beyond chipping and putting is pretty much impossible.

We got into the 60s today with rain in the forecast and will see the temps dip into the 40s during the day and the 30s overnight this weekend. But the weather did allow me to golf for the first time this year.

Temps was in the mid to upper 60's today, decided to walk 9 holes today. It was my first time out this season, it was nice to see the ball fly in real life and not a simulator. Although it was very windy and gusty today which made for a fun challenge.

We had the most insane thunder storm I have ever lived through this morning at 3:30am. It was just non-stop until nearly 5am - you'd see the lightning through the blinds and immediately hear the thunder right afterwards, and the house shook. It felt like it was right above us. There are a lot of trees around the house and more than once I head a "crack!!!" that made me think a tree was hit, I kept jumping up and looking out the windows to see if anything had fallen. The yard is one giant puddle this morning.

I believe this is the system to which you are referring, quite the system and got a bit stronger as it moved across Rhode Island and Southern Mass area. It's quite a large cell as well.

A teaser 70F spring like day today... hey, who flipped the switch? 

The winds here were calm all morning, so I called Madison Meadows in Ennis to check on course play.  Pretty much wide open but winds were sustained 22 mph with gusts to 35+.  Amazing what 30 miles and one mountain pass does to weather around these parts.  I love me some wind challenges just as much as the next guy - but not that much .
