It was so hot & humid here this weekend I never even stepped foot outside.  Supposed to drop down to the high 80's all week, but rain in the forecast everyday.

After finding the flowers sprayed with Deer-Out, this guy tried sampling the fake grass on the putting green and left disappointed.    

Thanks!  I'm thinking about putting a gas fire table in the middle for the cool evenings that will hopefully show up one of these days.

I don't know how you guys back east deal with the humidity!!  The last few days we cooled off to low 90's, but our humidity has been sky high!!  This is a desert; we aren't supposed to have humidity.  The sun has been blocked by smoke from fires in Oregon, so the temperature is lower but it also keeps the nights very warm.  Only cooled off to 81º Saturday night, so Sunday's round at 7:30am started 10 degrees warmer than usual.  Humidity was trapped near the ground; humidity was >80%.  No clouds, can't see the sun, and I'm dripping wet before we tee off.  

More sun today and 105º; wish it would rain; cool things off, get rid of the smoke in the air, and help irrigation demands.

House next door Koi Pond got hit by Lighting.  I thought it hit our house, rattled/shook everything.  Their house wiring is a disaster but house itself unharmed.

lightning struck the street in front of my neighbor’s house last week while i was outside clearing some brush. 

i felt the percussive blast deep in my chest and it scared the crap out of me. my wife ran outside because she thought the brush mower blew up in my hands. 

scary stuff - glad you’re ok.

Really nice morning for coffee, MGS & BST browsing outside.   Fairly cool at 68 and low humidity!  The heat is coming later today and through this week.

That's what it's been like here too. It's really put a damper on my bike rides & range/golf time after work. We bought a new gas fire pit and have yet to use it because at night it's either been pouring, or it's so humid it feels disgusting outside.

High heat index day, I work in the basement so what do I know about the day?  Rushed to the course for a tee time 40 minutes after I could shut down my computer and there were fewer cars than usual.  Only one other guy teeing off who asked if I wanted to join him, I declined having to still get ready for my first tee.  Was one hole behind him at first then 2 by the time I lost sight of him towards the end, with nobody following there was no rush.

Hydrated lots and it wasn't quite the heat that reset my idea of hot, that being the Kuwait and Iraq deserts wearing 60lbs of body armor and armament with an 8lb helmet and only nose and chin exposed to air...

So not too hot... the weather station photo almost an hour after arriving home.

106º today and 106-109º through the weekend.  Fortunately, the smoke has mostly moved out of the area, and the humidity is back to normal at 15%.  Trying to keep garden and trees wet.

Yeah here on the WET side, we will be hitting 100 in some places... Seattle broke the record for most days without rain, at 56 days.. House does OK with A/C but get out of the house and it sux..

Looking northwest at the end of the Ruby Mountain range.  The photo dosen't really do it justice.  The entire east side of the valley (Tobacco Root Mountains) were cast in a purple-orange hue, the likes of which we'd never seen before.  River didn't seem overly impressed.

Also increased the scent of fresh cut alfalfa & sweetgrass.  

Looks like a great place to pick up a little Venison.. lol
