Weather in your neck of the woods?

It’s been in the upper 80 to mid 90s for the past couple of weeks, and I don’t remember the last time it rained. If y’all could send that precipitation this way, that’d be great 😅

I spent the morning outside doing some yard work and about evaporated. Having an almost 2 year old is nice, we just busted out the kiddie pool and splashed around to cool off.

... Phoenix elevation is 1,086′ and were in a bowl called Valley Of The Sun so most courses are at about that elevation. There are mountain courses on the rims that are a little higher but not a significant amount.

That's higher than I thought. I was at 1519 in TN now at 300. Bigger difference than I thought in club selection. I'm about a club to a club and 1/2 shorter here than in TN. Taking a bit to get used to. It's an ego deflater. 🤪

... High, hot and hard fast fairways is why so many senior golfers retire here. At ages 67-70 I have hit more 300yd drives than my entire earlier playing days combined when I was younger and longer! That said 300 is still rare and takes the right conditions including some downhill slope but I am not hitting it 275yds in Orlando/Myrtle Beach under any favorable conditions.

Oh, c’mon Sam; don’t sell yourself short (pun intended)!  I bet you hit many 275 yard drives in Myrtle Beach and Orlando.  I am at least 4 years older than you, and I hit a few 290-305 yard drives on my Myrtle Beach golf trip a little more than a month ago.  Lately, I have been averaging two 275+ yard drives per round here in Eastern PA and New Jersey, with an occasional 300-305 yarder thrown in for good measure.

driver / off the tee is no longer a weakness for me!

In central Virginia it has been hot, humid and thunderstorms.   No golf for 3 days!

Hot, humid, rain repeat! I spent all last week picking up downed branches, pine cones and spreading 450 bales of pine straw only to have a vicious storm roll through last night dropping branches, pine cones and washing away a lot of the pins straw! 😡
