Weather in your neck of the woods?

You are lucky.  The storm hit us last night, but it was below freezing so it started out as freezing rain, then turned to sleet about 5am, then snow at 7am.  It's a white-out now with the wind blowing.  Here's a picture of the local airport tarmac behind my wife's business 5 minutes ago.  The piles of snow are from the airport plows trying to keep the tarmac clear.

I guess technically it's still winter, but this is ridiculous for our area where we are used to playing golf all winter long most years.  I guess we are doing our part to dispel the global warming myth.  LOL.

Good Lord! Ice and sleet are both nasty business, but then to top it all off with more snow is just insidious and well...plain mean. How we just down here not far away from you have been fairly mild this year is anyone's guess...man oh man!

This is just the snow in the edge of my driveway:

IMG_20190312_130555.jpg

However, we've got a few days in the 40s this week. Looking for a melt, just slowly. That's a lot of water.

Now that looks familiar.

We are supposed to get an inch of rain this week, and with all the snow, I don't know where it's going to drain.

Yay!!  Finally, warmed up.  After 5 weeks of snow and below freezing temps, today's high was 56º.  It's still 50º at 6pm.  It's still going to get down to 25º tonight, but a lot of snow melted today.  I drove by the golf course, and I can see some grass!!

More storms today. Just when I thought I might have a chance to hit balls this week, more rain comes. We have to have set a record for rainfall this winter.

We are in the same boat and it's creeping closer to the patio door.  Had to put my pool pump out there and try to move it away from the house.

An inch of rain on top of 2' of snow pack and drifts 3-4' high is not a good recipe.  On top of that the -30 to -50 week we had was with hardly any snow so the ground is frozen down deep.  We will have massive flooding around here in the new few weeks.

I really feel for you guys with tons of snow and ice, nice to look at but a PITA to live in especially with spring right around the corner.

We have rain and a cold arctic wind the last few days, forecast is MORE rain, MORE wind and continuous lows with tight isobars, Saturday will be the worst day apparently - Typical!😡

It's all due to the jetstream being below the UK, everything above it just pulls in the worst storms from the North.

Can someone invent a machine to guide the jetstream where it's required.

Lots of rain the last few days with more expected through the weekend.

The good news is I know spring isn't far off as I now see grass.
The bad news is lots of flooding. In basements, over roads, and out of the river banks has been causing a lot of damaged. So far we have been lucky with no water in the basement of our house but I won't sleep easy until all the snow has melted and the rain has stopped.

Come north a little bit and you'll forget that you're in the south.  It rains so much I feel like we're living in @Kenny B's neck of the woods.
