Shapotomous
28 this morning and clear. Anyplace that is still puddled from yesterdays .9" of rain has thin ice and the wet deck boards are slick, the dog slid down the steps! High today of 44. We are on the line of the 1 - 3 or 3 - 6 inches of snow coming tomorrow....and the trace of snow area is not far away either, that is what I am hoping for. I hope the Poconos get the snow for the ski slope people, I wouldn't mind taking a trip up there in a few weeks myself for a day of skiing. Shapotomous
right after i took that pic we had some really big snow flakes for about 15 min then it turned to rain. Its been raining since, but is right at 32* so its freezing on the trees. The spousal unit went to pick up the kid and called about 200 yards from the house because there was a tree across the road. It was broken up enough to get 1/2 the road clear and I called to get them to bring something big enough to drag the main trunk off the other half of the road. I hope we don't lose power tonight. Best of luck to you. We don't get heavy snowfalls (just too dry). Our snowflakes are usually quite small. We do have freezing rain once in awhile, but our power is quite stable even though we do have high winds. I can't remember the power being off more than an hour in the 51 years I've lived here. I've thought about a backup power generator, but there's just no need. Shapotomous
24 this morning with clear skies. Mostly rain last night but I do see a light dusting on top of the ice so it turned back to snow briefly before blowing out of here. I saw the road crew moving the tree trunk this morning, I guess I should have taken the chainsaw down last night to get it out of the way. The high today is supposed to hit upper 30's so it may get rid of the snow / ice in most places if the sun stays strong. We made it through the night without losing power which is a big plus!! Our road is about 3 miles winding through the state forest with lots of trees to fall across the power lines. When we lose it we are usually out for 6 - 8 hours until they get to us....unless its a big storm and then its a lot longer until they get down to us on the priority list. I was glad I didn't have to get the generator out and hooked up in the middle of the night. bens197, Kenny B and sirchunksalot 2 1 Quote Modern Bag: G410 LST 10.5*, Hzrdus Smoke RDX 6.5 Flex; 915F 3w, Diamana S+ 70 S flex; Mavrik 18* 5w; JPX 919 HM Pro 4i; JPX 900 Forged 5 - PW, PX LZ 6.0; Edison 2.0 49*, 53*, 57* KBS Tour 120 S; Heppler Fetch; Ball - MTB-X; Bag - Jones MyGolfSpy Edition!
